Tomorrow, #TeamDuck will be downing keyboards for a jolly good rest until Thursday 2 January. We hope you have some time to relax over the festive period, too! 🎄
Before we go, we wanted to share a little tongue-in-beak carol from our quacking choir of winged wassailers. 🦆
We hope you enjoy the 12 Days of Duckmas! 🎁

I. WANT. IT. THAT. WAY...
says the demanding client.
Well, you pay for the specialist to come in and reexamine the project scope and assess the merits of what you believe are the problems/challenges and outcomes.
For the consultant, it can put pressure to deliver the wants when we should be focusing on the needs or unmet needs.
So to all the clients who Want it That Way... here's the Backstreet Boys!

Have you seen the new Band Aid music video?
It’s a tough watch, but also very clever.
At the start of this year, there was something I knew would happen - it was the 40th anniversary celebration of Band Aid.
For the young ones amongst you, Band Aid was the result of a lot of superstars from the music industry coming together to create a charity single in 1984.
There have been subsequent celebrations in 2004 and 2014 (Band Aid 20 and 30 respectively), and now there is a new version which combines all the previous videos.
See the link below to see how clever it is - for example, to have three versions of Bono singing (and, this time, the original lyrics are there as well).
We have obviously had significant improvements in technology since then, but the video is absolutely class - a very hard watch, but class.
This, and 'Happy Christmas (War is Over)' are the only Christmas songs I have ever listened to (and my dislike of Christmas is well documented).
This is not a political post and I don’t want a debate about the rights or wrongs of the song or how things have changed (or not) over the last 40 years.
Simply, as a huge fan of music, I wanted to share the song and highlight how much has changed over the years. It has been very well done.

New at BalladofAmerica.org - "Unaccompanied singing is characteristic of remote communities. Because it does not require instruments, which are often expensive, fragile, and difficult to construct, it can be practiced by those of extremely limited means. Three unaccompanied singing traditions of Southern Appalachia have attracted considerable interest over the past century: ballad singing, lined-out hymnody, and shape-note singing."
