70% of the world's fresh water is used for agriculture annually. That's over 2 quadrillion gallons of water, enough to cover the entire United States in 2 feet of water. This overexploitation has severely raised the risk of resource depletion. While consumerism, on the other hand, has been amplified by globalization, the increase in consumption of resource has put a strain on the environment. I am delighted to partner with the FoodTech Challenge 3.0 and support their noble cause of bringing novel and disruptive Ag-Tech solutions in the region as well as ensuring all countries reap the rewards of a food-secure future. Reflecting on an Unforgettable Journey: The Indo-Israel AgriTech Co-Incubation Summit I am pleased to share my recent experience at the Indo-Israel AgriTech Co-Incubation Summit. This event not only showcased the power of collaborative innovation but also strengthened the bilateral ties between India and Israel. Being part of the core team that strategized and executed this prestigious event was profoundly honourable. The summit emphasized the sustainable model of co-incubation, which drives the Delhi-NCR innovation ecosystem forward, highlighting the synergies between our nations. The diverse stakeholders—from embassy and government officials to incubators, investors, and brilliant entrepreneurs—offered a rich tapestry of insights into overcoming global agricultural challenges through innovation. This event marked a significant milestone in my professional journey, enriching my understanding of strategic communication, stakeholder management, teamwork, and leadership in a high-stakes environment. Continuing this tested co-incubation model, the #MSME sector will play a pivotal role in scaling such initiatives, providing a robust foundation for sustainable agricultural innovation. Public policy advocacy at national and international levels is imperative to support and expand these models, ensuring that they receive the necessary visibility and backing to transform our agricultural practices truly. "Helen Keller once said, 'Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.' This summit was a testament to that spirit of collaboration." Let’s continue to push the boundaries of what we can achieve together. I invite all stakeholders and policymakers to engage and drive these initiatives to new heights. #AgriTech #Innovation #CoIncubation #IndoIsrael #Leadership #Strategy #Entrepreneurship #Sustainability #PublicPolicy #MSME

✳️ Promoting agriculture in Egypt with digital technology On February 20th, the World Bank Agricultural Specialist Fatma El Zahraa Yassin Aglan presented a lecture on agriculture in Egypt and Egypt Climate Smart Innovation and Tech-Based Entrepreneurship (EgCITE). As she illustrated, the agricultural sector has the largest share of household consumption and employment in Egypt, which emphasizes the importance of the agriculture sector in the country. However, climate change worsens their water crisis, and they are focused on strengthening climate-resilient agriculture by utilizing Climate Smart Technologies (CSA) to bolster the 3E (Equity, Efficiency, and Environment Sustainability). She mentioned that they endeavor to increase productivity by utilizing water and natural resources to enhance climate benefits. She underlined that they encourage CSA and focus on digital and ICT-based technology entrepreneurship. She highlighted the use of Digital Agriculture Technologies (DTA), which is purposed to collect, analyze, and optimize information throughout the agricultural value chain and leads to increased market efficiency and transparency. She added that implementations should be localized, and the application of digital technologies should not be an issue despite the limited digital literacy and infrastructure since the range of technology varies significantly. She explained that the technology can be a mobile phone to raise the precision in agriculture. She indicated that EgCITE aims to catalyze Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) and support entrepreneurship to reinforce 3E, and it focuses on data-driven innovation and agriculture technology. The pillars of EgCITE are to develop an informational platform to provide aggregated information in CSA Egypt and create productive partnerships by disseminating awareness and information via a virtual platform. It also includes the role of knowledge-sharing and raising capital formation. She highlighted the launch of the DigitalAG4Egypt initiative that stimulated competition across the region and presented innovative solutions. Her motivational lecture inspired the attendees to be aware of the issues challenged in the agricultural sector of Egypt and the innovative solutions needed to be approached in a more straightforward and adequate measure. #WorldBankGroup #KGGTF
