Communities of color have less access to mental health resources but experience disproportionately higher rates of mental health and substance use disorders than other groups. Culturally-led programs are driven by those with a deep understanding of the experiences, traditions, and cultures to best support their needs. Our guidance outlines how Philanthropy can support culturally-led programs. Learn more by checking out "For the Community, By the Community" here: https://lnkd.in/e6JKfup7

Identity Fund in Numbers The Identity Fund is our way of breaking the stigma around mental health in the workplace, making therapy and counseling more affordable and accessible. The program covers 50% of therapy costs and provides a referral list of vetted, mental healthcare professionals for those in need of a provider. Year over year, we see continued growth in our participant numbers. So far in 2024, 77 Unbridled employees are actively engaged in therapy, and 32 of their immediate family members are also utilizing the program. Beyond our Unbridled family, we also serve two other organizations, providing accessible and affordable mental healthcare to 13 of their employees. In total for the year, we have covered over $113,000 in therapy costs and 81% of our participants say that they now feel comfortable to discuss mental health in the workplace! We are so thankful to our 27 vetted providers who serve our people so well and are in awe of the growth we've seen in 2024 as people continue to prioritize their mental health. #unbridledacts #beunbridled #love2life #identityfund #mentalhealthassistance #breakthestigma #impact #family #community #growth #reflection #giveback #endofyear

We Are Beautiful Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families impacted by the justice system to prioritize mental health and build confidence. As someone who has advocated for mental health since childhood, my research has only deepened my understanding of the critical need for these services. I am currently applying to law school, with the goal of modernizing the way mental health is addressed in the legal field. In the meantime, I ask for your support in our efforts to provide essential mental health resources to those affected by the justice system. If you believe in our mission, please share this flyer and help spread the word

The scale of mental health needs can be daunting for funders when considering how they can make a difference with their limited funds. Our first ever 'Power of Giving' report offers potential solutions to the challenges philanthropists are facing and calls for more transparency around the amount of private funding for action on mental health. Thank you to World Economic Forum for helping to amplify this report and encouraging more to join those already providing effective funding. Read the article here > https://bit.ly/4eY9CG0

🌟 Making Life Lighter for Our Children This year’s Children in Need 2024 campaign, “The Heaviest Backpack,” delivered a powerful message: 1 in 5 children are facing a mental health issue. That’s not just a statistic - it’s a clear call to action. These challenges weigh heavily on young shoulders, but together, we can help lighten the load. At Focus Foundation, we’re deeply inspired by this message. We believe in building positive relationships and providing community support to protect children and foster resilience. Whether it’s funding mental health initiatives, creating safe spaces, or championing youth-led projects, our mission aligns with the idea that no child should carry life’s burdens alone. 💡 What can we all learn from Children in Need? That every effort matters - no matter how small - in supporting young people to thrive. 👉 Let’s work together to make life a little lighter for the next generation. Because together, we can. #ChildrenInNeed #SupportingYouth #TogetherWeCan
