With election season here, I'm sure I'm not the only one that's been replying STOP to a lot of political texts... The FCC has recently released new guidelines around the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) on revoking consent for communication. These rights strengthen consumer autonomy over how they’re contacted by businesses, underscoring the importance of respecting consumer rights while maintaining compliant communication practices. Organizations must be prepared to accept and process opt-outs in real-time while ensuring that any communication from a consumer that can be reasonably perceived as a withdrawal of consent is treated accordingly. This means match logic is no longer enough. It's important that you have the right systems in place to track, manage, and cease communications before April comes around.
