In this week's post, I will continue to focus on the #aviationindustry, as it has provided some topics that are worth reacting to in few sentences. As a European, I basically attend European exhibitions and conferences, one of my favorites being the Aviation Forum in Munich. Although my personal participation is still questionable this year, I keep monitoring the scheduled topics and invited speakers. In my post last week, I openly expressed my opinion about who really bears responsibility for the recent problems in aviation #supplychains. Perhaps it is no coincidence that one of the panel discussions at the Aviation Forum in is planning to discuss this topic under the following title: How can we get more performance out of the value chain together? Indeed, this important topic to be discussed and I sincerely and curiously await the results of the invited panel members, who will be representatives of such distinguished companies as Airbus, Boeing, MTU Aero Engines , Latecoere and Broetje Automation GmbH. The question arises whether this time the aviation industry can really count on such deep and honest thoughts that can generate change. For my part, I sincerely hope so. At the same time, if you just look at Boeing's streak this week, think about the workers' strike and the drop in the stock price, I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, there is certainly a lot to be done at corporate level, and on the other hand, I don't think anyone would be surprised if, instead of self-criticism, an attempt was made to reduce the prices of suppliers as one of the first steps. Let's see how it goes, I can promise to follow-up. #dans #aerospace #suppliers #oem
