Distrito Leon MX is an area with 7 major event-hosting venues, but at no point during the year do simultaneous events take place, except during the state fair where much of the parking space is repurposed. Dedicating such a large portion of land to parking wastes its potential for economic development and leisure activities for the city. Retrofitting parking spaces into parks, commercial, or residential areas would be a better use of this prime central location for the city and its residents. Parking is often thought of as necessary, but in a city where 70% of the population does not drive daily, adjacent private parking lots could be used for peak events. Additionally, parking lots around the city near transit stations could accommodate attendees during large events, as the area is well-connected by two main BRT lines (Francisco Villa and Lopez Mateos), making it easier for people to travel to and from the venues.

The 13 LAs with the highest percentage of sports facilities that are not grass pitches are all London boroughs. For UK countries: ▪️ Scotland has the highest number of large supermarkets, per 10,000 people at 1.44. ▪️ England had the lowest number of large-chain supermarkets per 10,000 people at 1.07. Large supermarkets are those over 280 square metres. Urban areas have fewer museums relative to their population than rural areas.
