What an incredible start to our FY25 - 1st quarter #HROD all-hands meeting at Jacksonville Transportation Authority ☺️ Our Human Resources and Organizational Development team came together under the inspiring theme of "Fixed versus Growth Mindset." It was a day filled with insight and empowerment. We explored how embracing a GROWTH mindset is essential to overcome adversity and failures. By fostering this attitude, we continue to forge our path to greatness and success as a team. The lively discussions, interactive session, and shared stories resonated with everyone, reminding us all to be open, to learn, and to thrive together. It's this mindset that paves the way for innovation and resilience. A heartfelt thank you to each of you who have contributed to our positive and dynamic culture. At this morning’s Magellan leadership meeting I ask the team, what are the things you do in your work role that make your day? A little context for the prompt. Last month I spent a few days with some life long friends, guys I have known and loved since the 8th grade. We have been close for some 40 years now. We did what we did as kids, we hit Old Hickory lake outside of Nashville, water skied, chilled, and laughed a lot. And there was time for some solitary reflection about life. There is something about being around people that truly know you. Often in these circumstances, in this case, far away from the pace of life, work, and what I have become as a person, I remember who I am, what I was, and I think about what makes me tick, what makes me, dare I say…happy. Yes, yes, very deep for “good time Charlie Wayne”. That is a lot to unpack, but as I pondered this, in relation to my work life…my thoughts drifted to, why do I do what I do for a living? That too is a long story, for another day! But while grappling with that I thought about the prompt above. What do I do in my role that truly makes me happy, satisfied, excited, pumped, etc.? The picture below captures “me”. While I have to do a lot of things at Magellan the intersection of these lanes fulfills me professionally. In sum the connection of situations where 1)my creative side is free, 2)forms a successful strategy, 3)working with others, e. g., in a collaborative community or relationships and this dovetails with 4) clients' needs and or business development… well then I am borderline euphoric!!! When this is missing, something is missing. But just one little serving of these items each day, then it is a good day. So I will find a dose of this every day. What makes you thrive in your work? And are you getting a proper dose often enough? If not, working it in, you will be happier and you will thrive.

Wrapping up a week at Berkshire’s Leadership Conference in Dallas Texas. Feeling inspired and proud to work for a company that has an all women led Regional Vice President executive team. Also, we were just named top 30 out of 50 Multifamuly owners. Final take away @brenebrown Barrette’s elements of BRAVING: BOUNDARIES: Setting boundaries is making clear what’s okay and what’s not okay, and why. RELIABILITY: You do what you say you’ll do. At work, this means staying aware of your competencies and limitations so you don’t overpromise and are able to deliver on commitments and balance competing priorities. ACCOUNTABILITY: You own your mistakes, apologize, and make amends. VAULT: You don’t share information or experiences that are not yours to share. I need to know that my confidences are kept, and that you’re not sharing with me any information about other people that should be confidential. INTEGRITY: Choosing courage over comfort; choosing what’s right over what’s fun, fast, or easy; and practicing your values, not just professing them. NONJUDGMENT: I can ask for what I need, and you can ask for what you need. We can talk about how we feel without judgment. GENEROSITY: Extending the most generous interpretation to the intentions, words, and actions of others. The BRAVING Inventory can be used as a conversation guide that walks us through trust-building from a place of curiosity, learning, and connection.

This week, our Senior Leadership Team stepped away from the day-to-day to focus on Castle’s future. In a market that remains tight, transparency and clear planning are more critical than ever. Over the course of two days, we: - Reviewed our 2025 strategy, addressing the challenges ahead and identifying the investments needed to make it a winning year. - Talked about our people, the role of automation, and finalised a robust account management strategy to drive customer satisfaction and attract new business. - Celebrated our relationships, shared what we value in each other, and most importantly, listened. We reconfirmed the focus for our business conference in February 25 and reminded ourselves of the strength that comes from being a values-led organisation. Taking time out like this isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. These moments allow us to map processes, evaluate efficiencies, and ensure that our vision remains clear and shared. As we approach Castle’s 60th anniversary in 2026, I am forever grateful for the incredible team that drives our success for our customers every day.
