When was the last time your employer thanked you for your hard work? Davy Shanko and I were asked to join JK Moving Services' & CapRelo's executive team meeting today. When we arrived Chuck Kuhn let us know that they simply wanted to thank us for the difference our work is making for the organization. Wow. Can we talk about how good that feels and how important it is? When employees are recognized it: ✨ Boosts morale. (I'm flying high this morning.) ✨ Creates an environment where employees feel valued and respected. (Is there anything more important?) ✨ Increases productivity! It doesn’t happen overnight. 🌃 Those banners? They didn’t just appear on the walls—years of SWEAT, HUSTLE, and ❤️ put them there. 🗣️📣 It’s no different in #healthcare. As we work to achieve new more aggressive goals, we often forget about what is true success. True success goes beyond individual accomplishments—it's about the legacy we leave behind. In the words of Kerr, "When you pull on that jersey, you are not just representing yourself. You are representing all those who have gone before you." The All Blacks understand that they are custodians of a legacy that extends far beyond their time on the field. Another trip around the sun, another leap in leadership. ☀️ As I celebrate another year around the sun today, I find myself reflecting on the journey that has shaped me both as an individual and as a leader at Coastline Equity. With each passing year, the story of my career—intertwined with the growth of our firm—gains new chapters of growth, challenges, and triumphs. From my days as a club kid at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor in San Pedro to serving as the CEO of Coastline Equity, it's been a journey of relentless learning, hundreds of pivots and constant change.
