Supporting Our Community: Empowering Children at Courtenay Elementary At Morson Carson Wealth Counsel, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving every child the opportunity to thrive. That's why we support the Courtenay Elementary Community School Society's (https://cecss.org/) hot lunch and breakfast programs. Their mission goes beyond providing meals — it’s about empowering children and families to build a foundation for a brighter future. By ensuring no child goes hungry, the hot lunch program fuels their ability to learn, grow, and dream big. For us, it's not just financial support; it’s about creating a nurturing space where families feel cared for and children are given every chance to succeed. We stand with CECSS in their mission to strengthen our community, one meal, one child, and one family at a time. #communitysupport #childwellbeing #nurturingfutures #morsoncarsonwealthcounsel #richardsonwealth #CECSS

#GiveSTLDay Early Giving is now open! I'm asking friends in my network to consider supporting Navigate STL Schools. Navigate advocates for equitable enrollment by sharing relevant resources and transparent information about the traditional, charter, magnet, and independent school options available. Navigate focuses on Early Childhood Education, Transition (ECE, elementary, middle and high school) Programs, and making sure residents understand their educational options in the city of St. Louis. Kindergarten and the skills learned at this grade level are critical to a student’s educational journey. And currently, kindergarten isn’t a requirement in the state of MO. In addition to this, being prepared for the transition to kindergarten starts earlier than most caregivers anticipate, putting them behind in the enrollment process - leaving them with less school options, and less time to access any additional resources they may need to get their student to [and through] school. Our Kinder Readiness Program works to solve this problem! Did you know that $73 can provide one month of kindergarten readiness services to a family? And $877 can support one entire ECE center with Kinder Readiness Services for a month? Will you join our Kinder Readiness Giving Club and help support this pivotal transition time for one or more families? https://lnkd.in/gfNDazU8

Catch-Up Clubs are a cost-effective, easily scalable model that leverages community volunteers to provide remedial education for academically vulnerable students. So far these clubs have addressed learning loss in 13 countries where children were out of school for extended periods due to COVID-19, displacement, or #migration. Montessori Head Start programs exist, but they are few and far between. There certainly are challenges to their implementation as this 2021 story from MontessoriPublic outlines https://lnkd.in/gYuD7pNH, but as we see in this video from Trust for Learning, the long-term benefits of ideal learning environments (including #Montessori) for children and educators alike, far outweigh the challenges. “An ideal learning environment is one that honors children as full human beings and sees them as navigators of their world, centering them and allowing them to have a voice.” #IdealLearning
This giving season, as you sift through all the different donation appeals and emails, we encourage you to pay special attention to the Head Start programs offering #IdealLearning environments to the young children and families that they serve. In this video, you will hear directly from some of these programs from around the country about how ideal learning environments—grounded in equity, play, and nurturing relationships—are making a lasting impact on young children in their care. Standing Firm for the Future of Our Children In a world where the early years of childhood lay the foundation for lifelong success, it is not only our responsibility but our moral duty to stand up for the rights and well-being of every child. Important: At this moment, the following programs are actively advocating for the Cincinnati, Ohio community. You can support their efforts by making a donation. Much like the struggles of past generations who fought for justice and equality, today, we must be vigilant in our pursuit of educational equity for all children, regardless of their background. The fight for quality early childhood education is the fight for a brighter, more equitable future. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." These words, written from a place of deep conviction and sacrifice, resonate now as they did decades ago. We cannot afford to be silent or passive in the face of inequity. We must actively engage, educate, and advocate for policies that ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. Let this be our call to action. Let us channel our passion, our expertise, and our collective voices into ensuring that all children receive the early education they deserve. Let us stand together, as allies and advocates, in the ongoing battle for justice in education. Website: https://lnkd.in/dCD_4eTJ Join us in this crucial work. Together, we can make a difference. #EducationForAll #Advocacy #EarlyChildhoodEducation #EquityInEducation #4cforchildren #chatgptpt #chatgpt

Children perform better in school when their families are interested in their education. Children perform better in school when they have good attendance. Children perform better in school when their caregivers talk to their teachers and advocate for their needs. Children perform better in school when their caregivers read with them at home. And yet, such involvement is often a challenge for parents and caregivers who are juggling multiple jobs and navigating language and cultural barriers. So, here's to the donors committed to helping schools and families overcome those barriers, which is critical to the pandemic learning-loss puzzle. #Education #Literacy #StudentSuccess #FamilyEngagement
