Our recent women's network event "Women@Reinhausen" at the end of October was a huge success! 60 dedicated employees participated both on-site and virtually. 👭🌐 This time, the event provided the possibility to actively contribute to our benefits portfolio and share valuable insights. Besides that the event also informed about training opportunities for professional and personal development within the company, which were enthusiastically received. As always, participants had the chance to network, exchange ideas, and establish new connections. 💬 For us, a women's network like Women@Reinhausen plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment for female employees and driving diverse perspectives in the company. Especially in the energy sector, we need more passionate women who shape our energy world every day. Our network enables the employees to build strong professional relationships, mentor each other, and collectively address industry-specific challenges. 💡

I can’t emphasize enough how often I discuss with my colleagues the need for increased diversity in the workplace. We need more women in sales, engineering, finance—across all sectors. 🤗 According to the Women Peace and Security Index 2023/24, the UK is ranked 14th, while Switzerland is 2nd. From an engineering perspective, companies are making significant strides to support and develop their female employees. Over the past year, I’ve placed 11 women engineers, which, though only 5% of my total placements, reflects a broader trend of positive change. I’ve seen firsthand how companies in Germany and Switzerland are committed to diversifying their teams. This trend is a clear indicator that we are moving in the right direction. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness women in managing positions, director roles, and as founders making significant impacts. At Phaidon International, women are truly thriving. If you’re interested in discussing opportunities in engineering or recruitment, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help with any questions you might have. 😁

“There aren’t enough women ready to take the seats.” I hear this every time someone brings up quotas for women on boards. The good new for companies: There are 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 board-ready women than there are seats available. But here’s the reality: Only 1 to 3 out of 10 board seats goes to a woman. That’s progress, but can we truly call it success? Especially when so many women are stepping up, ready to lead. Take a look at this image from a train in Kuala Lumpur: designated women-only seats. It's a clear acknowledgment that creating space is sometimes necessary to create equitable access and safety. 📢 Let’s create 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 for women—not because they lack expertise, but because the reality is that seats 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 aren’t given purely by merit. What’s your take? Should boardrooms take inspiration from these women-only seats? (Share your thoughts below 👇)

Thank you Linda Brack and Cordelia Röders-Arnold for hosting us at our Schindler Group women networking event. Here are a few reasons why I believe in women's networks: 👩💼 Support: By connecting with like-minded women, we foster a sense of empowerment and support. Women networks provide a safe space for sharing experiences, discussing challenges, and celebrating successes. 📚 Learning and Growth: Women networks offer access to resources, workshops, and mentorship that can help develop skills, advance careers, and expand networks. They enable us to learn from one another and grow both personally and professionally. 💼 Career Opportunities: Networking is essential for career progression. By actively participating in women networks, we can discover new job opportunities, gain industry insights, and connect with potential mentors, sponsors, and collaborators. 🤝 Community: Women networks create a supportive community where we can lean on one another, share advice, and celebrate each other's achievements. This support system is crucial in boosting confidence, resilience, and overall well-being. #WomenNetworks #PersonalGrowth #SupportSystem #Networking #Mentorship #CareerAdvancement #Inclusivity #Diversity

For this year`s #internationalwomensday2024 day, I want to recognise the women in my team who impact my day, make me laugh, challenge me and collectively create a culture of excellence in our team. Vilde Haugen: You are always ready for a new challenge or to take on a new task which is a fantastic and proactive way to develop yourself. Not to mention the great things you do for Kraftkvinnene event at Statkraft in April! Mia Marie Dahle Martinsen: You aren’t one to accept an answer you don’t feel is just and that pushes myself and the other leaders to think differently. That isn’t always an easy thing for a woman to do without being judged as difficult so thank you. Victoria Birkeland: You are my gal Friday and honestly keeps this whole team chugging along with a big smile on your face and endless amounts of enthusiasm. When do you sleep? But at the same time you are not scared to show some vulnerability which is not always easy to do especially in the workplace. Lisbeth Fuglebakk: It is clear how much you care about your role and the job you. Not to mention how excited you get about a new event or initiative which is contagious and never gets old! Alicja Morys: Your are one tough cookie who like Mia, isn’t scared to challenge a decision or manager if you feel strongly about it. That bravery and self-assuredness is impressive. Leila Ajjarif: You are a true whirlwind in Iberia and the relationships and bridges you have built across the board where few existed before is just impressive. Not to mention your language skills! Gabriela Trevisan: You started as an intern and have grown into a successful TA recruiter who values your relationships and is the definition of inclusive. Dana Oncken: You only joined us recently but already I can see that your contributions are valued and your standards are high. We will all learn a lot from you! Roberta Pucciarini: Another newer member of the team who in a few months has already made her mark on the Italian business and garnered feedback from the highest levels. Bernardo has spoken! Celina Nybråten: You do so Much beyond your role and rarely give yourself enough of the credit so don’t underestimate what you mean to the team. The effort and energy you put into your work is amazing and even if you aren’t always aware of your effect, we all see and feel it. Evelin Elystrand: We have missed you but look forward to your return especially your dry humour and sharp wit. You keep those engineers in line! Shelley Regan: Youre one part of the dynamic UK/Irl dream TA duo but at the same time have truly made your mark on the business and handled so much in a short time. Kaja Kristiansen: The team depends on your coordination and support every day. They also value you as a friend and colleague so make sure you know your value in A&M because we all do. And to all our partners in crime (AKA the men in our team) -thank you for being co-creators, listeners, support networks and cheerleaders.

✨️Unlocking the Power of Networking for Women’s Advancement ✨️ Networking is a critical skill for career growth, yet women often face unique challenges in fully accessing and benefiting from professional networks. At Global Women Connect (GWC), we’re dedicated to addressing these barriers and empowering women to thrive through meaningful connections. 💼👩💼 Here are some common networking challenges women encounter: 👉Limited Access to Informal Networks: Many key networks are still male-dominated, making it harder for women to gain entry and access crucial career opportunities. 👉Juggling Multiple Roles: Women frequently balance professional ambitions with personal responsibilities, leaving less time to invest in networking activities. ⏳👩👧👦 👉Perceptions of Networking: Viewing networking as inauthentic or self-promotional can lead to hesitation. However, networking is about building mutual support and sharing insights! 🤝💡 👉Lack of Female Role Models and Mentors: With fewer women in senior roles, finding mentors can be a challenge, leaving women with fewer examples of successful networkers to emulate. 👩🏫🌟 At Global Women Connect - Europe Chapter, we believe that transforming the networking landscape starts with creating inclusive opportunities and cultivating environments where women feel empowered to connect authentically. 🌐 ✨️Our initiatives include:✨️ -Global Mentoring Program: We offer a structured mentorship program connecting women with experienced professionals (all genders) to share insights and guidance. 📚👩🏫👨🏫 -Continuous Learning Workshops: Our workshops provide platforms for women to develop skills and expand their networks through interactive sessions. 🛠️🧠 - Global Community Events: We organize both online and offline events to foster connections and gender partnership worldwide, facilitating the exchange of ideas and support. 🌍🤝💬 Let’s work together to overcome these barriers and unlock the power of networking for women everywhere. 🌟🚀 #WomenInNetworking #GlobalWomenConnect #CareerAdvancement #GenderEquality #InclusiveNetworking #GenderPartnership
