What is Revenue Operations, why is there so much buzz about it and how can you get into it? Do you need to be technical for it? How to fix the disconnect between RevOps and Finance? What are the most common mistakes in CRM architecture? These are some of the questions James McKay went over in the 16th episode of the FounderVideo Podcast. We also touched on: - James' background and how he got into RevOps - FP&A as the plug between finance and RevOps - How to get CRM adoption and hygiene - What's an effective tech stack in RevOps and what James uses on his day-to-day at VEN - Structured vs Unstructured business development / sales processes - How to get revenue forecasting right - Contracted vs Uncontracted revenue in SaaS valuations (ft. Clay and how their usage-based model may be impacting their valuation) - Common objections when selling RevOps as a service - Upcoming announcement from James regarding PMF We really got deep in this one, and I couldn't have enjoyed more chatting with such a professional in the space like James. Whether you're interested in RevOps or not, if you're looking to drive profitable efficient growth in 2024 and beyond, you need to listen to this episode. Did you know your pricing and packaging strategy might be the biggest untapped lever for SaaS growth? Most companies don’t realize it, but getting these two right can unlock: 💰 New revenue by matching your pricing to the value customers perceive. 📈 Expansion opportunities with existing clients by offering packages that scale with their needs. 🔑 Retention by ensuring your offering remains relevant and valuable over time. This week on the SaaS Backwards Podcast, I sat down with Dan Balcauski, Founder and Chief Pricing Officer at Product Tranquility, to explore why pricing and packaging are far more critical than most SaaS leaders think. Dan shared a wealth of insights, including: Why many SaaS companies underprice themselves—and how to correct it. The psychology of effective packaging to drive upsells and minimize churn. How strong pricing directly impacts the valuation of your SaaS enterprise. As someone who spends most of my days helping SaaS companies drive demand, I can’t overstate how much pricing clarity affects everything from acquisition to retention—and ultimately, your bottom line. 🎧 Curious? Listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/eHHtDAFE And if you’re wondering how to better align demand gen with pricing and packaging strategies, let’s connect. My team specializes in building the kind of demand engines that convert prospects into loyal, high-value customers. #SaaS #PricingStrategy #DemandGeneration #SaaSMarketing #RetentionAndExpansion

It was amazing to have Rod on this episode of "Pain in the SaaS." It was such a great conversation with valuable insights for anyone that is looking to learn, first hand, how to automate their services sales process end-to-end. This is Pain in the SaaS...
