Who are our 'future leaders'? Are they the younger generations of Gen Z and soon to be Gen Alpha who are coming up through the career ranks? Or are they the leaders today, who are currently shaping the future of our workplaces and businesses? The answer - it's both. Workplaces are changing, and the needs of our organisations are changing with them. Emotional intelligence used to be deemed a 'soft skill' once upon a time. But the evolving workplaces with: → the rise of technology → AI → hybrid and remote working → and focus on health and wellbeing .... have rightly brought the importance of EI to the fore-front of successful leadership. It was brilliant to have such a rich discussion this morning at the first ever Talk HR Club Think Tank on The Role of Emotional Intelligence in Developing our Future Leaders with the Club Members. No journey is the same, and we have so much to learn from each other. Thank you to Emma ( Em ) Melrose for facilitating this session and to Lucy Warman MIH 🌿 Kate Stranks (MCIPD) and Samantha Tremlin 🌱 for contributing your thoughts, ideas and experiences so abundantly. What role do you think Emotional Intelligence plays in developing our future leaders? #EmotionalIntelligence #ThinkTank #HiveMind #Leadership #FutureLeaders #CollaborationOverCompetition
