📣 Back to Work After the Holidays: Is Remote Work Helping or Hurting? As we settle into the New Year, Henley Professor Benjamin Laker’s Forbes article raises an important question: is remote work eroding boundaries, increasing burnout, and weakening workplace connections? While it offers flexibility, remote work can also distance us from the culture and camaraderie that make work meaningful. A hybrid approach—blending remote flexibility with time in the office—might be the key to achieving balance and connection. How are you reconnecting with work and colleagues after the holidays? 👀 🔗 Read the full insights from Professor Laker here: https://lnkd.in/dR9mmwXM #HenleyBusinessSchool | #WorldofWork #RemoteWork #NewYear

£82,000 saved on energy bills last Christmas – can we do even better this year? 💚💡 Last winter, colleagues across the University of Reading and Henley Business School helped cut energy usage over the break, saving an incredible £82,000 and reducing carbon emissions. This year, we’re asking everyone to switch off before heading home for a well-deserved holiday. That means: ✅ Lights ✅ Computers and monitors (at the plug) ✅ Fridges (don’t forget to take home any milk!) ✅ Water heaters and coolers ✅ Any non-essential electrical equipment Small actions, big impact. Businesses everywhere – it’s your turn to play a part. Switch off and help cut carbon! 🌱 Learn more about how the university is reducing emissions: https://lnkd.in/dWRKCUUg #HenleyBusinessSchool | #UniversityofReading #GreenUni #SustainableUniversity #SustainableLeadership #CarbonReduction #NetZeroCarbon #SwitchOff

Wishing our Henley community a joyful holiday season! 🎄✨ As we reflect on 2024, we are filled with gratitude for the journey we have shared with you. This December, our EMBA Global Managing People workshop brought together students from the UK, Nordics and South Africa for the first time in Finland. We embraced local traditions—glögg by the fireplace, the sauna, ice swimming, and even a visit from Santa himself—reminding us of the power of connection and the importance of community, values at the heart of everything we do at Henley. 🎅 🎁 Giving Back: Supporting Education and Inclusion In the spirit of giving and towards creating a fairer world, we are proud to have supported two meaningful causes this year: 🌟 UNICEF: We have made a donation to provide essential school supplies for 80 children in crisis areas. This contribution reflects our belief in the transformative power of education, even in the most challenging of circumstances. 🌟 Folkhälsan’s Lucia fundraising: Inspired by this year’s St Lucia, Daniela Owusu, who embodies Henley’s core values—being human, bringing passion, and braving change—we have made a donation to this organisation. Diversity, inclusion and equity remain at the heart of our mission. As we prepare for a new year filled with opportunities and challenges, we recognise the importance of rest and reflection. Take this time to recharge, connect with loved ones, and embrace the season of joy. Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us make a difference. Here’s to a bright, resilient, and impactful 2025! 💙 #HenleyBusinessSchool | #HenleyCommunity #GivingBack #HappyHolidays #Resilience
