Navigating Product-Market Fit is messy. We’ve wasted energy chasing ideas that didn’t stick. Spent weeks building solutions no one needed. The struggle is real. Here’s what we learned the hard way: - Start small. Talk to just 5 people in the industry who truly understand the problem. If your idea is an easy sell to them, you’re onto something. - Lower the barrier to entry. Make it really simple for potential customers to try your pilot—no heavy commitments, no big asks. Let the product speak for itself. - Listen more than you pitch. Understand what they actually need. We’ve been through this cycle while building Rise Global Education, speaking to 100+ education consultants globally. The insights we gained? Priceless. The work is far from done—we’re still iterating, still refining. But the journey is worth it. More insights coming soon.

3 steps to simplify any launch. (Even if you're starting from scratch) I didn't see it at first, but it showed up in ways like: ➡️ Overthinking every tiny detail. ➡️ Spending weeks perfecting things no one would notice. ➡️ Avoiding the launch itself because "it wasn’t ready yet". Here's how I simplified and started seeing results: 1. Recognize the overcomplication Most launch struggles come from fear, not logistics. ➡️ Write down what's actually critical for your launch. ➡️ Identify tasks that are just "busy work". ➡️ Ask: Will this matter to my audience? 2. Embrace "imperfect" action You don't need to have everything figured out to start. ➡️ Launch the version you have right now. ➡️ Take small, consistent steps instead of waiting for "perfect". ➡️ Progress creates clarity and momentum. 3. Focus on connection, not perfection Your audience cares more about value than polish. ➡️ Show up authentically—even if it's not perfect. ➡️ Share your journey, not just the polished results. ➡️ Remember: The goal is impact, not applause. The biggest block isn't your process—it's how you approach it. Simplify, show up, and trust the process. What's one way you'll simplify your next launch? — If this resonated, like, share, and follow for more insights on breaking barriers and building businesses on your own terms.

Success comes down to timing and strategy.
Strategic Growth Partner | B2B Revenue Scaling Expert | Former Managing Director at U.S. Chamber of Commerce | Helping MSPs and B2B Services Scale to $30M+
Grinding away in your business and not seeing real progress means only 1 thing: You’re working on the wrong things. And look, it’s easy to do. Because there are so many damn options online. → Business models → Marketing channels → Content strategies → Tech stack options → Fulfillment systems And to make things more difficult: Success is in the sequence. Meaning, it’s about doing the right thing—at the right time. I learned this through years of trial and error. But after selling more than $2.5 million online. And launching 3 productized services that have generated $500k+ each. I've got a process that works. And 3 times a year I run a Bootcamp to guide a small number of people through it. It's the program I really wish I had when I started. If you're interested in: Fast tracking your progress. Avoiding expensive & painful mistakes. And eliminating doubt about whether you're working on the right thing–right now. Shoot me a DM to see if we still have spots open. We’re going live July 15. 🏝

This month K2 Product quietly celebrated our 3 year anniversary. 🎉 We love the work we get to do, (because we love all things product) so thought it fitting to give a few shout outs and to celebrate our wins. A major win for Kendra Foss that only took 8 months to execute: she convinced Katy Pusch to partner with her in this endeavor. This effectively turned K2 from a 'nickname idea' into a formidable force in product management, data governance, and software leadership. We'll just say it: We love you, Katy! This year we have purpose-built, and strategically invested time into friendships and partnerships that have accelerated and strengthened who we are, how we work, and where we place our expertise. We would not be having this much fun without the team at Coeur Data, the coffee dates with Kate Fischer, LICSW or the incredible and sometimes terrifying insights from The Data Product Leadership Community. We know we nerd out about data and software products, but we like to do that WITH people. Thank you for being our people on this journey! In the grown up world of business and consulting, we have partnered with Medical Alley, (Kendra DOES own a few blazers, she promises 😉 ) and you can find us jumping into conversations and going down rabbit holes on Health Tech Nerds. 🤓 Can someone please peer pressure Katy into adding her bio to our new website, please?! 🗒 k2product.com To our network of product leaders, thank you for pressing in daily and setting the bar higher. We are all getting better because we are all doing better PM work. You're incredible. And we're grateful for all that we're learning and seeing from you. A huge shout out to our clients. 📢 You're fun. 😆 Your vision for the future takes us to the very peak of the tallest mountain on the most clear day and we could not be more excited to keep scaling with you and to see the ripple effects of your impact. (Someone please remind Kendra to stop mixing metaphors.) And there are countless friends outside the PM space that have had monumental impact on us and that tag list would go on for days. ☀ ☀ ☀ If you're curious if you're on it, you are. Thanks for being you! It feels like the work has only just begun, even though we're standing on a firm and broad base. If you have an idea that needs to be vetted, a whiteboard that needs a strategic roadmap on it, or a data problem that could use some guard rails--this is the work that K2 loves, and we cannot wait to come alongside you in getting to your mountaintop. There are more mountains to climb and we are HERE. FOR. IT. Happy 3rd Anniversary to us!! 🗻 🗻 🗻

The fastest way to product-market fit? Iterate, iterate, iterate. 🔄 🚀 No product is perfect on the first try. Successful founders know to move quickly. They launch early, gather feedback, and make improvements. NEVER wait for the 'perfect' version of your product. Instead, release something now—even if it’s not 100% there. Feedback from your early users will help you refine it faster than anything else. Every iteration brings you closer to product-market fit. The faster you test, learn, and adapt, the quicker you’ll get there. Success comes from constant improvement, not perfection. --- 🚀 Follow me Tom Smith for more product founder insights. 📌 Want to accelerate your journey to product-market fit or raise investment in less than 6 months? 🚀 Celebrating the Wrap-Up of Our Final Product Strategy Cohort of 2025! Over the past 6 weeks, this incredible group has been part of our ‘Master Product Strategy’ programme, diving deep into what it means to craft and execute effective product strategies over six weeks. From understanding the nuances of growth strategies vs product-market fit expansion to building confidence in stakeholder alignment, this cohort has genuinely embraced the challenge. Here’s what some of our participants had to say: 🧩 “Learning how to put all the pieces of a strategy together. It’s already helping give some structure to my work and I can see it’s going to make it a lot easier to communicate it to others.” 💡 “Learning about growth strategy vs product-market fit expansion strategy was an ‘aha’ moment for me! It’s given me a new perspective on how I view the decisions we’re making.” 🙌 “Everything about it was fantastic! From the content, to the instructor, to the format and supporting tools. Every session was valuable and it seemed like we covered a lot of ground in 6 weeks. It has given me confidence around what I should be focused on when building strategy and confirmed the need to get key stakeholders involved early.” A huge thank you to this group for their energy, insights, and commitment to leveling up their skills with Colab co-founder and instructor Toby Delamore. You’ve shown what it means to think strategically and collaboratively, and we can’t wait to see how you apply these lessons in the real world!
