Woohoo! Our friends at Whole Foods Market donated more than 1,100 pantry staples and snacks to help us fill purple bags and stock school pantries this week. These items will help hundreds of families over the winter school break put nourishing food on the table. Thank you!! 🍲💛

Salvation Army’s 2024 State of the Nation Report indicates food support services nationwide have seen a 40% increase in demand. 40% 🤯 That's hard to read. There's so much need out there and we know everyday organisations like Fair Food NZ, Kura Kai, The Salvation Army and more are all trying their best to meet it. It's our dream to be able to meet that level of need so no one goes hungry. Our even bigger dream is that no one would go hungry in the first place. But for now, whether you're adding a small donation when you're shopping online at one of our partners, chucking an extra pack of toilet paper (one of the high-demand items at food banks) into the trolly for the food bank, or whatever small thing you can, let's try to help these charities together. Sometimes it can feel almost hopeless. But every small action makes a difference when we do it together.

BradyPLUS This is truly commendable! Isn’t the act of spreading love a form of sustainable development? 🌍❤️ I believe that the act of sharing love is not just an emotional connection but also a reflection of social sustainability. When people share, help, and care for one another, they are building a more united and compassionate community. 🤝✨ This virtuous cycle not only fosters social harmony but also inspires others to take action, creating a ripple effect of positivity. 🌟 Sustainability is not only about resources and the environment but also about the support and understanding among people. By spreading love, we are, in essence, creating a sustainable social value system—one where everyone feels valued and is motivated to work together for a brighter future. 🌱💡
🍰 Our BradyPLUS Michigan team helped make the holidays a little sweeter for families in our community — we donated the pans and helped put together cake kits at the Holiday Food & Toy Distribution event hosted by FireKeepers Casino Hotel yesterday in Battle Creek, MI.

A non-comprehensive list of what's possible with your support. We use donations of material items to fill requests for adults & kids all across the state who don't have the things we all need to get through the day. We use monetary contributions from the community to fill gaps in material donations and purchase highly needed essentials like snow boots, diapers, sleeping bags & warm bedding. Please give what you can, whether it's material or monetary, so we can continue meeting the needs of people who are lacking access to the basics. 🌟 Ever wondered what happens to a tin of beans when you donate it? Here's the journey of one tin from your hands to those in need: 1️) Buy a tin – It all starts with you! You purchase a tin of beans and decide to make a difference. 2️) Donate the tin – You drop it off at one of our collection points, knowing it'll help someone in need. 3️) We sort the tin – Our amazing volunteers sort and organise all donated tins by date and type, ensuring we’re rotating our stock effectively 4️) We put the tin in our community supermarket – The tin takes its place on the shelves of our community supermarket, where those facing tough times can access it. 5️) The tin then goes to those in need – Finally, the tin of beans ends up in the basket of someone who needs it, providing them with a warm, nourishing meal. Every tin counts. Every donation matters. Thank you for making a difference! 🙌 #CharityJourney #FoodBankHeroes #CommunitySupport #DonateToMakeADifference #HelpingHands #CommunitySupermarket #HappyDaysUK #HappyDaysHalifax

Dollar Tree Dinners on Tik Tok is not only an absolute gem for helping people live with dignity by making videos on how to make make meals with food found at Dollar Tree Stores (including Thanksgiving dinner) but she hit the nail on the head with the video below. While I strongly believe most humans want to help others, it’s important to understand that not all help is beneficial and it’s important to understand and listen to those impacted. She mentions many things to consider specially around donating to others for the holidays but the highlights include not everyone has access to an oven (or a large enough oven) to cook the turkey you donated, turkeys are heavy and not everyone is able to carry a turkey from their fridge to the oven, and remember to take into consideration any additional items needed to make the food you donate like milk, butter, seasonings, pots or pans as not everyone has access. This message is not to discourage those from helping others but to remind everyone to take a step back to acknowledge any privilege that may come with your help and to make the necessary alterations so your help is beneficial. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 #DollarTreeDinners #TikTok #Dignity #socialimpact #donations

Over the festive period, we will be once again collecting donations for Dundee Bairns so that families can have the kind of festive season that everyone deserves. We'll be collecting practical things that we all take for granted; namely, toiletries (for people of all ages) and cleaning supplies. For those who want to donate more Christmas-y things, we’re also collecting toys and books (including colouring books, crayons, markers, etc.) wrapping paper and sticky tape. According to Dundee City Council it is estimated that the percentage of children living in relative poverty in Dundee is 27.1% compared to a national rate of 24.5% across Scotland. Times are tough, but when people come together to do small things, bigger things result. https://lnkd.in/ehj_9xM9
