Every Customer Success Manager should keep this in mind. Day 1 you get a portfolio worth of €1M in ARR 💶 It's pretty cool that also some junior employees get this type of responsibility in SaaS companies. In one year, this is what you have depending on your net revenue retention NRR 80 %: €800,000 NRR 100 %: €1,000,000 NRR 120 %: €1,200,000 NRR 160 %: €1,600,000 And same in 10 years. NRR 80 %: €107,375 NRR 100 %: €1,000,000 NRR 120 %: €6,191,736 NRR 160 %: €109,951,116 So, you can either lose most of your revenue in 10 years or build a business north of €100M in annual recurring revenue. The customer success field is dynamic and ever-evolving; therefore, embracing change is crucial to thrive in this career. Through this course, I've learned that effective customer communication is a key differentiator and the foundation for understanding customer needs, nurturing trust, and building genuine rapport. The seven importance of communication in customer success are: 1. Understanding customer needs: By actively listening and engaging in meaningful conversation. CSM gains profound insight into what drives customer satisfaction. 2. Enhancing customer satisfaction: When customer feel heard, understood and valued, their satisfaction level increases. 3. Fostering collaboration: CSM often connect with various department and stakeholders to ensure unified approach to achieving customer success. 4. Building long-lasting relationships: Effective communication is not just about short term gains. It lays the foundation for a relationships that extend beyond initial sales. 5. Establishing trust and rapport: Trust is the currency of customer success. CSMs can build trust through transparency, reliable and honest communications 6. Conflict resolution: Effective communication skills enable CSMs to navigate conflict resolution gracefully 7. Providing customized solutions: CSMs needs to gain deep understanding of the challenges, to enable them provide tailored advice and solutions. NOTE: CSM means Customer Success Management
