As an innovation leader in the Media & Entertainment space, AWS re:invent was a goldmine with an excellent introduction made by Matt Garman and the outstanding participation of Andy Jassy. Here's what blew me away: ➡️ Innovation overload: #AWS dropped a ton of new services and features. From their insanely powerful Nitro hardware to the energy-efficient Graviton4 chips, they're pushing performance limits. And let's talk about those Trainium3 chips for AI... 🚀 ➡️ Foundation model: Their new "homegrown" foundation model #AmazonNova is incredible! The Micro, Lite, and Pro flavours are available now through #AmazonBedrock, and Premier - the more capable one - is coming soon in 2025. This is going to be a game-changer for building intelligent solutions for our clients. ➡️ #AmazonRufus is coming! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for Rufus to drop. Even if it is not related directly to M&E, this #Amazon feature will be outstanding in giving a huge bump in AI adoption. ➡️ AI is king: AWS is going all-in on #AI/#ML. A billion dollars in credits for AI projects? Yes, please! A partnership with #Anthropic for #Claude fondation model and, get this... Apple & AWS partnership presented by Benoit Dupin 🤯 (who raved about how AWS is powering their services, and will be a technical pillar of #AppleIntelligence). And I am not even talking about S3 Tables, S3 Metadata, Aurora DQSL, Bedrock Automated Reasoning Checks, Amazon Q & GitLab Duo partnership, etc. This is an exciting time to be in Media & Entertainment. Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced plans for “Ultracluster,” a large-scale AI supercomputer powered by its homegrown Trainium chips, alongside the launch of a new server, Ultraserver. The Ultracluster, part of Project Rainier, will consist of hundreds of thousands of Trainium chips and will be operational in the U.S. by 2025. It will support AI training for Anthropic, an AI startup recently received a $4 billion investment from Amazon. 🎉 It's a pleasure to announce that Jeeliz was accepted into the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Activate Portfolio Program. 🚀 AWS Activate is a free program that provides eligible startups with tools and resources, including AWS credits, and AWS Support credits to help startups quickly get started on AWS and grow their business. AWS Activate consists of two program tiers – Activate Founders and Activate Portfolio. 🔨 This will notably help us to train new neural network models to detect and track hands or shoes from images using the Amazon GPU computing infrastructure. Andy Jassy took the stage by storm, heralding the introduction of Amazon Nova. With its four variants - Micro, Lite, Pro, and Premier - Nova is being hailed for its cost-efficiency and speed. Jassy emphasized that Nova is 75% more cost-effective than other models in the market, truly a game-changer for businesses leveraging AI. Speaking of innovation, the revamped customer service tools at Amazon are another fascinating development. These tools, integrated with AI, now predict user frustration and facilitate seamless transitions to human operators. Additionally, AI advancements are being utilised to optimise seller pages, manage inventory, and drive robotics.
