If you’ve ever come home to shredded couch cushions or a missing sandwich, you’re not alone. From cats stealing dentures to dogs eating laptops, pet antics are endless. But there’s a serious side too—for many owners these mishaps led to vet visits, with bills sometimes over $500. We asked 2,000 dog and cat owners about the ups and downs of pet parenthood—the mishaps, the finances, the guilt, and their POV on the essentials needed for pets to live their best lives. The TL;DR? Pets are adorable, relentless troublemakers that we love endlessly (regardless of how much they cost us).

Should we rely on pet groomers to take care of our pets when we are away? There has been a massive increase in People hiring baby sitting for their pets. As many work long hours in offices and some have to leave for emergencies so they depend on baby sitters to take care of their pets or they leave their pets in a day care centre. If we really ask ourselves this question, whether relying on Baby sitting for pets is a good thing or a bad thing?, Many will say its ok but if we dug deep into this we will realize that its not because looking at the other side of picture we are losing our bond with our furry friend that emotional connection which we suppose to have with our pets has been diverted towards that pet groomers. Our motive to have pets in our life is to build love, connection and a special bond with them but do we have that while we depend on 3 people to take care of our pets?. Here on LinkedIn there are hundreds of posts for dogs who are due to be euthanized the next day. Why do people adopt pets and then turn around and give them away or sometimes even pay someone else to take the pet off their hands? Hmmm...how about this? EXPENSE- Some people don’t realize how expensive their pets are! When I adopted a puppy, I knew there would be costs, but no idea how much! Some people realize they cannot afford all the supplies, vet visits, and other costs associated with pet ownership. Due to this, they abandon or rehome the pet, or surrender it to a shelter. BEHAVIOR- Some pet owners do not or will not properly train their pet, especially dogs. I see poorly trained dogs all the time that bite, pull on the leash, or act aggressive to people or other dogs. Some owners don’t put time or effort into training and just give up the pet due to bad or destructive behavior. COMMITMENT- Some also don’t realize pets are a commitment for the duration of their lives. I have heard of people giving up their pets or abandoning them when they move, have a child, or some other lifestyle change. I personally suggest, these questions are asked, and real honest answers are accepted before they go off and just give a real life away to a human who has none of the above qualifications to have a pet. That's all I am saying. Okay one more thing. LEARN to see if a person is honest, telling the truth and capable of having a dog. Do NOT say awww they are so nice let's give them this kleenex...I mean dog, we know they will use/take care of it....

Did you know that 63% of Americans have a furry friend at home and that 97% of these pet owners consider their animal companions part of the family, not just pets. Have you ever stopped to think about what would happen to your beloved pet if something were to happen to you? It turns out that many people are starting to address this concern by including their pets in their estate planning. It's becoming increasingly common for individuals to make provisions for their furry family members in their wills or trusts. This could involve specifying who will take care of the pet, allocating funds for their care, or even setting up a pet trust. Estate.Studio has taken it a step further by including pet care planning in their estate planning services. They even have an option to create a free pet care directive directly on their website. By including pets in estate planning, pet owners can ensure that their beloved companions will be looked after and provided for even when they're no longer around. It's a thoughtful way to ensure the well-being of these cherished members of the family. If you haven't already considered it, perhaps it's time to think about including your furry friend in your estate plans too! #Pinventory #EstatePlanning #FurryFamilyMembers #PetEstatePlanning #ProtectingPets #PetCareDirective #EstatePlanningPets #CherishedCompanions #PetTrust #PetProvisions #IncludePets #EstateStudio #PetWellBeing

If you have a furry friend, you know your pet relies on you for every need. What would your pet do without you?
