It wasn’t a world I’d planned on, and yes, there were a few jokes (“Are you becoming a lumberjack?”). And while that excitement is understandable (and well-deserved!), it made me reflect on how often we move too quickly from one success to the next without pausing to savor what we’ve achieved. This season of gratitude is the perfect time to reflect on the moments we’ve worked hard for. When we take the time to truly revel in our accomplishments, we allow those successes to fuel us—not with pressure to do more, but with pride, confidence, and joy. As Prezent recently celebrated its 3rd anniversary 💐 , I found myself marveling at the teamwork that has fueled our extraordinary journey. Not all teams hit the bullseye—but ours did, and here’s how. A successful team starts with a leader—or even better, several leaders of various *types* seem vital to the magic recipe. There are: - The Visionaries who set the course - In our case, or fearless founder Rajat and his wife Deepti, who made the first leap—in our mission of democratizing business communication for the world. - The Pathfinders - Those who figure out *how* to move towards that vision—and chart the best course. - The brilliant Executors—who walk (or run) the course - These folks navigate their tasks reliably, efficiently, and with precision. They regularly contribute with enthusiasm and interest in how *their piece* connects with the broader picture of the goals or the company. — The cool thing about Prezent—is that many of us oscillate between multiple types. ⬆ Executors become Pathfinders when they stay the lookout for more effective ways of doing things. They voice concerns, share ideas, and suggest or test better approaches. *The Prezentians on my team and the teams I work with, are doing this nearly every time we meet—which has been so helpful and empowering! ⬇ From the opposite end, I've witnessed the power of Visionaries also diving into the details every so often. *Executing in the early phases—to get the start-up going. And pathfinding, which fuels the team, guides growth, and fines tune our operating models. The culture of Prezent has thrived from this optimally balanced cocktail of visionaries, pathfinders, and executors. All of us focusing on what works—our core business & values—while also being receptive to growth and evolution. Is this concept groundbreaking?
