“We get it done, always and everytime”- Military leaders don’t have to rely on years of BAU experience to deliver in a new environment, all we need is a free hand and a team. The mission oriented mindset allows us to adapt, evolve and deliver when odds are stacked against us. This video is just one of the many examples of grit and determination showcased by a military leader in face of adversity and an apt example of a leader who believed in his team to deliver. Every single veteran has multiple stories like this and their military experience of years gone by is the most important transferable skill that should be harnessed by the corporate world. We are the solution, and we never create problems. 🫡

Congratulations to the US Women on winning the Gold medal. It is a fantastic achievement, but let's not forget the prize. The prize is improving the long-term development of our grassroots clubs, coaches, and players. My Dad always told me, "Do not take without giving." It is impossible to love without giving. I believe your self-worth is connected to how you help others. Giving back is so important if you want to create togetherness. One of the strategic goals of US Soccer is: "Create a world-class organization." Investing in the foundations of the game will lead to a lasting improvement in growing the game (which is another strategic plan of US Soccer). Leaders shouldn’t forget the reality of their work, supporting people to execute a joint mission successfully. Once they understand this, the difficulty lies in developing the motivation to make this a rewarding process. It will not be rewarding or work if we sit on our hands and ignore soccer's grassroots. Give back by 'getting your hands dirty.' Leaders in any organization need to become “the engineers of their social system,” evoking the learning curve involved and the fact that there needs to be a significant amount of effort before seeing one’s work come to fruition. What's the essential point to support women in aviation? Men! Sounds surprising? Actually it's not. A respectful men can make a great change in the movement towards support women in aviation. Majority of board of directors, higher management positions etc, not in aviation only, are men. So without their support the mission of any organization will not have that significant impact... And be sincere sometimes we are on our own bristles, as women, who decrease some nice projects by gossiping and not being respectful to each other. So we, as women, sometimes need to make a mindset change as well as some men. :-) What do you think about it? Do you agree? Bring out the best of your team. Many time as a business owner you are able to see the underlying skills and potentials of your people. Build them up, bring it out, peel it off so they will benefit you will benefit, and your business will benefit, the results is that you will create loyal employees. On top of that your team will be more open, announced and vulnerable to each other.

It's as relevant today as it was for the non-violent civil rights movements in the 1960s. Instead of contending to win as individuals, why don't we contend to keep playing as a team? Instead of fighting each other, why don't we fight the forces that are pulling us apart? Instead of looking for ways to get to the top, why don't we look for ways to find unity? Nothing big gets done in isolation. No big project, business, or organisation will be launched or grow due to one individual. We need the right answer (justice and reconciliation), not to be right (victory).
