Challenging the status quo will always be met with skepticism.   Throughout the past year, I have spoken about what we are building at Kompas with countless amount of people across the real estate ecosystem. Generally, I am met with the following initial skepticism:   🤨 Wow! That sounds like a very ambitious project 🤨 Wait, are you really trying to compete with giants in the space that have been dominating for the past 30+ years? 🤨 Seems like there are a lot of uphill challenges you are going to be facing! At first, this skepticism created a ton of self-doubt and fear of failure. Perhaps I was I in over my head? Maybe I had bit off more than I could chew? Then something shifted. While my team and I continued to show up each day working on our mission, one by one, the skeptics started reaching out to get updates. Only they were no longer skeptics. They became believers, they became customers, and they became advocates.   See – here’s what they didn’t know when we first met: Before you can change the world, you need to change your own life.
