While a blanket "Thank you, all!" might have good intentions, it can also fall flat if it sounds forced or unnatural. While you may be, in fact, thankful to everyone on your team, it may come across as generic. Personalized recognition, on the other hand, can have a much stronger impact – below are 4 tips on how to do just that! 👏 Highlight specific contributions: If recognizing or featuring an employee, tell the audience why and be specific about it. 👏 Do your research: Conduct interviews and surveys of folks working with the honoree to get real feedback from the people who know their work performance the best! 👏 Put yourself in their shoes: If you’re recognizing someone in a public forum, tailor it to the employee instead of a one-size-fits-all approach. Consider how they would feel most comfortable in their spotlight. (Thanks to Kristin Hancock for this tip!) 👏 Get creative with it: Show you truly care and go above and beyond a pat on the back.
