🤠 The startup journey is wild. One day you're focused on healthcare, rejecting numerous industries and potential clients, and the next, you're welcoming them with open arms. Pivoting wasn't easy after nearly a year of commitment to one direction, but when opportunity knocks, you must answer. Indeed, MedPros is undergoing a rebranding — transitioning to Kerplunk. 🤔 Why Kerplunk, you might wonder? I'm glad you asked. While building our client base in healthcare, we encountered various industries showing interest in our technology. One prospect even remarked, "If you had this for our industry, we'd be your first customer!" To put it briefly, there are numerous stories like this. At such an early stage, paying close attention to market demand and leveraging those insights is crucial for your team, your stakeholders, and, most importantly, your customers. We've listened to your feedback. If you're in a position to hire, send us a message, and we'll introduce you to our Beta program. 🚀 The name "Kerplunk," beyond its playful and memorable nature, embodies the willingness of our team and our customers to dive into new territories and make a big splash in their careers. It's our commitment to bold innovation and staying attuned to the needs and gaps in the market-- even, or especially, when they lead you beyond your initial focus. Join us in making that splash!

🚀 Unlocking Product-Market Fit 🚀 In the quest for startup success, understanding and enhancing product-market fit is paramount. I stumbled upon a profound piece of advice from Rahul Vohra, the CEO of Superhuman that sheds light on this crucial aspect. 🔑 Key Insight: "Ask your users how they’d feel if they could no longer use your product. The group that answers ‘very disappointed’ will unlock product/market fit." #startupsuccess #productmarketfit #productmanagement This approach isn't just about gauging satisfaction; it's about identifying your product's core advocates – those who find it indispensable. Their feedback is the goldmine that guides not just incremental improvements but can also shape a visionary roadmap towards undeniable market resonance. 🔗 Dive deeper into this fascinating approach and how Superhuman harnessed it to sculpt their journey towards product-market fit. You might know some things about my journey at Covver, but you probably heard nothing about my previous ideation cycles. I had a few before founding Covver, and lately, I got the opportunity to add one of them to Symbol's "ideas RIP" platform, which allows founders like myself to share their abandoned ideation-validation stories for the benefit of the community. The startup journey can cost you a few years of your life. How do you find an idea that will be worth it? And when is it time to give up? Many founders struggle with the first steps in any startup's journey: ideation and validation. In most cases, we only hear about those ideas that were proven to be worth investing in. We seldom hear about the many ideas that the founder found interesting at first but eventually decided to give up on. To make a long story short, what was the idea, and what led me to give up on it? People in different fields—and especially founders—need to maintain their professional network to advance their careers, projects, or companies. But they do it inefficiently. In reality, most of us have a much larger network than what we can effectively use. To validate this initial idea, we conducted in-depth interviews to understand what people do to get introduced to people they want to meet. Then, we built an initial product and observed people using it. We learned that gaining an initial signal of success (go/no-go) in a startup based on a Network Effect takes considerable time and that gaining user trust is also challenging. These insights, along with many other issues we discovered during the process, led us to abandon the idea, and as you know I have moved into the world of corporate gifting innovation. But I still believe that inefficient networking is a real problem that still needs to be solved. and encourage anyone who relates to visit ideas.rip to learn from our process. Want to read the full story? It’s right here>> https://lnkd.in/dfSc2bdc Thank you Symbol, Racheli Kogan, Yuval Ariav for the opportunity to share this story. And to those of you dipping your toes into the ideation-validation pool, good luck! (In the picture, me asking a Kangaroo how he finds connections in his network that are 2 hops away)

🚨 Announcement: Ariglad is pivoting! We started Ariglad YC W23 because we wanted to make the employee experiences better by automating tasks for HR so they can focus on more important things. Now, we're changing course both from a product and industry perspective. ❓ Why we're pivoting We realized we'd built a tool that was in-demand when HR budgets were larger than usual. Funding was flowing, interest rates were low, etc. But when that suddenly stopped and organizations tightened their belts, tools like HR ticketing systems were no longer a priority. 🔁 What we're pivoting to Before Ariglad, I used to be a Customer Success Manager. One of the pain-points I experienced first-hand was how tedious it was to keep your knowledge base up to date. This makes it harder for customers to self-serve. After dozens of interviews with leaders in the CS space, we found that this was a key pain point for a lot of teams. So, we built the world's first AI tool that auto creates/updates your knowledge base by analyzing support tickets. 🚀 Where we're at We built an MVP and tested it on hundreds of thousands of real tickets - it's working super well. We're working with companies in our beta program that offers lower pricing and high-touch support until May, when we officially launch. Within a month of just me reaching out to CX leaders on LinkedIn, we booked 60 demos. The positive response has been so much more than we expected, which feels great after months of uncertainty. Check out our website with more information about the pivot and beta program here: https://lnkd.in/dMa6qaVf 🙏 PS Special thank you to our investors who have been extremely supportive throughout this process. These are pivotal moments in a company's lifecycle, and getting support for big swings means everything. I can't list out our whole cap table here, but special thanks to Palm Drive Capital, January Ventures, Everywhere Ventures and our amazing angels like Jennifer Longnion & Byron Milligan. Obviously, this is also where mentors from Y Combinator absolutely shine as they never shy away from supporting startups through crazy times. 🙌 Ali, myself and the Ariglad team are beyond excited for this exciting chapter! #startupjourney #founderlife #customersuccess #cx

Startups exist to meet the needs of customers. As their understanding of those needs change, startups need to update their product and pivot. Well done Sophie Wyne and Ariglad YC W23 for understanding what needs to change and having the courage to do it. If you're on ZenDesk for support and knowledge base management, give Ariglad a shot!

Check out the DIY product positioning and messaging guide I built for Growth Mentor and Xoogler first-time founders. I haven't found a comprehensive, step-by-step guide for founders/marketers looking for product-market fit, so I've created one. Now sharing with my LinkedIn community! Inside is the 4-step positioning process: 1️⃣ Opportunity research 2️⃣ Product legos & Benefits 3️⃣ Product, market, customer proof 4️⃣ Examples of putting together a messaging framework There are a number of practical examples from HR Tech and Automation products, and scrappy and cost-efficient ways to source information about the audience and their pain. https://lnkd.in/g2VW5VXm Repost if you find it useful. #positioning #gtm #hrtech
