We are celebrating Zivko Ostojic today! One of the biggest legends in our team and an amazing colleague 🥳 His experience at Inviggo has been built through working in different environments, facing project challenges, and meeting tough deadlines. Here's the story he shared ✨⬇ "After two years of working on the same project, many things have changed, such as my responsibilities and daily tasks in general. Luckily, I have improved and become more involved and connected to the core of the project 😊 In addition to coding, I've been dedicated to other responsibilities, such as serving as the main contact for the components I’ve created. I regularly attend meetings about new features and enhancements, contributing ideas, and collaborating with the team to drive project development. Through time, I've 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 and laid a solid foundation which I have to admit - I'm very proud of. ✨ It's a nice feeling to guide new developers through the processes you personally invented and developed. There are minimal bugs in the areas I’ve worked in and I see this as my personal success. Taking ownership of a component used by so many in our company feels rewarding. 🙂 We have FAQ templates for common questions, and our workflow has improved with the integration of new team members who are now building on what I've created. A standout achievement for me is 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. This data table is packed with a vast number of features that let users personalize their experience and organize data in a way that works best for them. Collaborating with other teams is the most interesting for me at the moment, since we need to sync and coordinate processes together. I always enjoy developing new functionalities, especially those that require integration with the backend 🚀 As for challenges, the biggest one is upgrading something that already works without ruining the existing functionalities. It’s time to meet the team again, and today, the spotlight’s on Maciej Solnica, Senior Software Engineer at KOIA ⭐️ Since joining us in November 2022, he’s worked on both front-end and back-end projects and has taken on technical responsibility in the project as a tech lead. In addition to working with us, he runs his own coding school, #Wanacode, where he takes people who want to become programmers under his wing and teaches them programming from scratch. “I guide my mentees through the entire learning path, mentor them, and give them real homework. At Wanacode, we’ve developed a custom learning program, and at the end of this path, we provide our mentees with jobs in one of our partner companies. KOIA is one of these partner companies. I noticed in my work that I like mentoring people and making them grow and become better developers, so it strongly connects. I try not to be a 'strict' mentor, but a good friend who doesn't scold for mistakes, but sits down, talks after a fuck-up, and helps draw a lesson and grow.” Why did Maciej decide to join us? 🤔 “The work environment of KOIA as a software house means I have to keep developing all the time. Working in a product company doesn't provide as much stimulus for development as in a software house. I knew that at KOIA, I could fulfil the role of a tech leader, not just be a cog in the machine. I wanted to have an influence on what the company looks like and be a leader in projects because that's where I've always found fulfilment.
