Every hunting season, countless hunters are seriously injured due to tree stand accidents. Here are some key safety tips to prevent a tree stand fall this hunting season: ⚪ Inspect your equipment before each use, checking for any signs of wear, damage, or weakness ⚪ Always wear a harness ⚪ Use a lifeline ⚪ Always have three points of contact when climbing- have two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand on the ladder at all times ⚪ Tell someone else where you are planning to hunt and how to get there Please note that even with the most careful precautions, accidents can happen- especially when a tree stand is defective, improperly manufactured, or your equipment fails. If you or a loved one is injured due to any of these situations, give us a call and let us help you understand your rights. Remember: No trophy is worth your life. Take a few moments to prioritize your safety every time you hunt. Stay safe out there, hunters. #lattofandlattof #lattoflaw #personalinjury #huntersafety #alabamahunting

Easter egg hunting this weekend? Keep in mind that snakes camouflage well into their surroundings and linger in places that keep them hidden. Snakes may be found in log/brush piles, under low-growing plants, in areas of overgrown grass, around rocks, and even on decks/porches. -Avoid reaching into places that you cannot see clearly into/around. -Accompany/monitor children while hunting for Easter eggs. Find a snake instead of an Easter egg? Move away from the snake and leave it alone. Contact your local fire department to have the snake removed for free. Snake removal services in your area can also remove snakes but fees may apply. For a snakebite, seek medical attention immediately. #snakes #rattlesnakes #snakebite #snakebiteprevention #snakesafety #easter #happyeaster #eastereggs #easteregghunting

Deer hunting is a potentially dangerous activity for people with heart conditions. As Brad Serwer, MD FACC FSCAI, chief medical officer at VitalSolution-Cardiology, explains, deer hunting "typically involves hiking to a tree stand or blind, waiting in the cold for hours and then dealing with a sudden surge of adrenaline when a deer is spotted." Hunters often track over long distances and challenging terrain. And once the deer is located, transporting it back to a vehicle usually means dragging a 100 to 200-pound animal across uneven ground. Dr. Serwer cautioned that extended exposure to cold is also a significant risk, as it can elevate blood pressure and cause blood vessels in the limbs to constrict. Check out the full article for more insights from Dr. Serwer, including tips to reduce cardiac risk when hunting: https://lnkd.in/epV2_JTz
