If you've been considering a donation to a local org during GiveBIG, I'd love your support at my fundraising link for Boys and Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound. As a board member, I know just how far a donation of $10, $15 can go to help more youth. The clubs offer a place for growing, learning and playing. BGCSPS also supports amazing things outside of the clubs including Teen Mental Health First Aid training - a program that coaches teens in grades 10-12 or ages 15-18 on how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use, challenges among their friends and peers. Some things to know: - BGCPS served 5,100 young people in 2023 (up 57% from the previous year) - 71% served are Black, Indigenous or people of color - 52% live in single-parent households Give: https://lnkd.in/gS5sqQ56

Back to School Fundraiser Imagine a world where every individual is treated with dignity and respect. Imagine a world where all schools follow trauma-informed, neuroscience-aligned, neurodiversity-affirming, relationship-driven, and collaborative approaches. At the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint, we are working tirelessly to make that world a reality. Seclusion and restraint are harmful practices that affect numerous individuals and families, particularly those with children with disabilities, Black and brown children, and children with a trauma history. Our mission is to reduce and eliminate these practices and ensure safer schools for students, teachers, and staff. We need your help to continue this critical work. A gift of: $20 can provide vital support for families. $50 can support training for professionals. $100 can help us develop workshops and advocacy efforts. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly impact our ability to promote positive change and protect those in need. Together, we can end these harmful practices and create a better, more compassionate world. Thank you for your support. https://lnkd.in/eyPpBVqm #EndSeclusion

See how Advocates for Children CASA and CASA offices across the U.S. are changing children’s lives. Link below
According to National CASA, children and youth with a CASA volunteer reported higher levels of hope than those without a volunteer. A child’s hope has been linked to numerous positive outcomes such as academic success, overall wellbeing, increases in self-control, positive social relationships and optimism. You can bring this hope to a child this holiday season by supporting Advocates for Children CASA! Please consider making a donation between now and December 10 in honor of Colorado Gives Day at https://lnkd.in/gDaKTH53 Thank you for your support!

Education is opportunity.
Less than half of Maryland’s kindergartners are prepared to engage with the curriculum when they enter school. We know children who have the opportunity to participate in early learning programs are twice as likely to start school ready to learn. At Ready At Five, we are committed to empowering educators and ensuring that every child in Maryland develops the foundational skills they need for success in school, career, and life. This Giving Tuesday, join us in giving every Maryland child an equal start. Your support can make a lasting impact. Together, we can build a brighter future for Maryland's children. Justice is relative. Healing is relative. One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to justice and healing. Survivors deserve options, and restorative justice processes prioritize survivor-centered, flexible justice over the rigid framework of the criminal system. Our Restorative Justice Program is launching this Spring! Want to help make an impact? Joining the network with a $250 donation would help our pilot program lead two hours of a facilitated healing circle with those who have been harmed by domestic violence. 💚: https://buff.ly/3FHG53e

How do Playtime programs prepare children for a healthy, happy, and stable future? Our trauma-informed play curriculum is designed to support social-emotional learning skills, problem-solving skills, and optimism and hope for the future. Play is fun but it's also integral to a child's healthy development, especially for children experiencing housing insecurity or other trauma. If you are able, a donation (of any amount!) to our Spring Campaign between now and May 15 makes a difference. Every gift helps us reach our total goal of $60,000 by May 15. 🗞 Read the blog: https://bit.ly/blog0424 💟 Learn more and donate: bit.ly/springcampaign24 #SpringIntoPlaytime #playtimeproject #playequity #playforall #playmatters #socialemotionallearning #childhooddevelopment #DoMore24 #socialemotionalskills #playtherapy #playlearning #playbasedlearning #powerofplay #traumainformed #childdevelopment

Today, Giving Tuesday, remember the child who saved stranded starfish by tossing them back into the ocean, one at a time. YOU can turn the tide against child abuse, saving one child at a time with a donation. Parents, caregivers, teachers, and youth-serving professionals are the first line of defense in preventing child abuse, and your gift, no matter the size, provides critical education. In fact, your donation can train an entire school for as little as $500. Today, YOU can protect children, families and communities.
