Two weeks have flown by since the UCISA Leadership Conference in Edinburgh, and the energy from the event is still palpable. I had the privilege of not only attending but also representing Hays alongside Amanda Whicher as a speaker in one of the key sessions of the day. The array of speakers across the day was fantastic - each bringing a unique perspective, enriching our understanding and fuelling our imaginations. A personal highlight of the day? It has to be DreamWorks Animation’s session on ‘The Art of the Possible’. The discussion on data’s role in storytelling was highly thought-provoking, and with an added bonus of a sneak peek of the new Kung Fu Panda! The conference was absolutely buzzing with conversations around scaling digital transformation across Higher Education and it’s clear we’re all on the same page: to shape the future, we must embrace new strategies in hiring and nurturing talent. The shared challenges we face in attracting talent are not just hurdles but opportunities to come together, share our experiences, and forge new paths. The launch of the UCISA Academy is a bold step in that direction, promising to harness the collective wisdom of UCISA, UHR: Universities Human Resources, and Hays to meet the challenges head-on. As I look forward to the follow-up conversations and the budding partnerships, I’m reminded of the power of community. Together, we’re not just building teams; we’re shaping the future of education. #UCISALeadershipConference #DigitalTransformation #HigherEducation #TalentManagement #UCISAAcademy #Community #FutureOfEducation

10 years ago I was a leader whose tools were no longer working. I was seeking a place where I could learn to be a better leader, but I learned SO MUCH MORE. THNK has been my community, my place of learning on the edge, and the vision to create better leaders for positive impact in the world has become my purpose and mission. I am beyond proud of work we do at THNK, and extremely excited to see the THNK experience to become accessible anyone who wants to become part of a community of apprentices of life. I think everyone should be trying THNK, and the cool part is you can! Try for free for 3 months using discount code THNK3MFREE If you want to know more, here is the full story: True change starts from within and a community helps sustain it. THNK programs have been known for evoking transformation within individuals. What started as "let's bring the THNK Magic online" became something more. We went from a learning platform to a movement, a space for deep connection and collaboration for a brighter future for all. Leadership for good, accessible to all After months of building and testing, THNK World is finally live, with a community of around 400 members to start with, and three leadership development journeys (+ new content underway) to support them in their path. Curious to try it out? You'd be joining a community of lifelong learners where everyone is student and teacher, where you can be vulnerable with a complete stranger, and where we're all working towards changing the world for the better.
