This one is for the trade show and event Newbies. 6 Tips for when you are getting ready to exhibit at your First Trade Show! 😁 Tip #1 is RESEARCH the show and the Attendees! Get to know everything you can about what the show offers, the show floor layout, the marketing opportunities and more. You want to be as prepared as possible and not be caught off guard when you get there. AND...completely understand who is coming to the show. What titles will be there, what is their decision making ability, what is their industry experiencing, and so much more. This will allow you to craft your marketing messages and engagement questions in a way that will draw in the RIGHT people to your booth! for more on this and the other five Tips I put together a super quick 5-minute video - check out the link and SHARE it with colleagues! When you craft your message, don’t be subtle. Hit people over the head with why talking to you, or using your product, will solve their problem and reduce their pain. And… color, light and motion attract the eye. Use them well

2moThanks so much for the tips! I recently heard this advice on a podcast, so I called the Expo show I’m interested in, and I asked those questions— “what will the attendees be hoping to find here? Are they DIY homeowners who want to do a project, or are they homeowners looking to pay professionals to do their project?” I could not get a clear answer about this though, so I decided to get tickets for the expo and walk through it so I can find out for myself! I’ve already learned this the hard way— Paying for a booth, working so hard and preparing, just in time to find out that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the wrong product, trying to connect with the wrong crowd. Very uncomfortable/Never again. 🙈 I’m grateful for your emphasis on this part as Tip #1! Do you have other ideas that might help me learn more ways about HOW to research the show and attendees? 🙏
