⚠️ What is the Test for Specified Microorganisms? The test determines the absence or limited occurrence of objectionable microorganisms / microbial species. ⚠️ Why to test? This test is required for all nonsterile compounded preparations before release, Per in conjunction with ⚠️ When to test? Frequency of testing is defined in the Quality Assurance Program of your facility. ⚠️ Requirements to submit the samples for testing: • At least 10 g or 10mL of product. For fluids or solids in aerosol form, sample 10 containers. For transdermal patches, sample 10 patches. #bddelectrode #cvddiamond #BDD #sewagetreatment #Wastewater #BoronDopedDiamond The study reports the results from applying polycrystalline boron doped diamond (BDD) thin films in eliminating water micropollutants and resistant bacteria. The results documented that BDD anodes were able to effectively decrease the concentration of most of the analyzed pharmaceuticals and drugs by more than 51%. In the case of coliforms and staphylococci the efficiency level reached almost 100%. The study investigates the occurrence of 29 selected psychoactive drugs and metabolites in 18 wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) in the Slovak and Czech Republic. It should be mentioned that the under investigation geographic area has a population of more than 1.5 million inhabitants. The analyses of influents and effluents were performed using in-line SPE-LC-MS/MS. It was found that the most concentrated substances were cotinine, tramadol, methamphetamine and venlafaxine, and compounds such as tramadol, venlafaxine, oxazepam and citalopram and had limited degradation efficiency at all monitored WWTPs with a maximum of 30%. Antibiotic resistant coliforms and staphylococci were also found to be present in the Slovak wastewaters; whereas in Czech effluents, no chloramphenicol and tetracycline resistant E. coli and S. aureus were detected. Are you monitoring antibiotic residues in milk?🥛 Discover a new detection method promising a simpler, faster, and more cost-effective way! The method involves the use of FraMiTrACR AB units, which are based on centrifugal ultrafilters, for a capacity for up to 15 mL of milk or milk-based samples. The fractionation method using FraMiTrACR AB units involves filling the units with a volume of spiked raw milk samples and centrifuging to effect fractionation into the constituent water and fat/protein phases. The filtrate (water phase) is then retained for direct analysis by LC–MS/MS. The #FraMiTrACR AB has been co-developed by #pureMilk analytical GmbH and #Sartorius Lab Instruments GmbH & https://ow.ly/5ygr50Slt0a. This method allows for the detection of antibiotic residues directly from the water phase of milk without further preparative steps, leading to a reduction in personnel costs by reducing the active working time of laboratory staff, as well as operational and stock management costs.
