"Who is the end client?" This might be one of the most infuriating responses that I get back from a prospective candidate that I have reached out to.... literally, just these five words. Nothing else. I should reply with: "Send me a full list of everyone you are interviewing with right now"... Fully appreciate that you need to know who the client is before being submitted, however have some damn tact with it at least and take me to dinner first!! I am NEVER going to submit someone to a position without them knowing who the client is, however, I am also not just going to throw out customer names out there with no conversation first or at least a little back and forth to ensure it truly is a good match! A lot of our customers engage with us confidentially, so please understand that when recruiters reach out to you. When I pushed back and asked for a phone call, he proceeded to email me back with a bunch of profanities and exclaimed how his "time was too damn precious for this shit", whilst he spent about 5 minutes writing out a scathing email. LOL. It honestly does me a favor in the long run, as I now know to never work with him and have likely dodged a big bullet. I just don't understand how this type of response can benefit anyone right off the bat, for the long term. Make recruiting human and fun again!!
