So excited to finally be launching our summer merch <3 Here's the strategy behind doing this: ⭐ We're sold out and needed to keep our community engaged (+ we need some sort of stream of income as we've had little the past couple of months) ⭐ Brand awareness. With each person that purchases merch and then wears it around, we get increased reach. Think about it, someone likes the item on somebody else and asks them where they bought it, they then follow us and find out more about us (best case scenario). ⭐ And lastly, good girl snacks is meant to be a brand that offers your favorite snacks, but also one that feels like a lifestyle. What better way to start building our world than to offer merch???

Never , i repeat , Never smash a cake in someone's face ! Smashing a cake in someone's face is seen as playful tradition, and in reality; it is the most uncomfortable , embarrassing situation. The Injury risk is high in particularly if the cake contains dowels or straws to support layers and decorations or for the person wearing glasses and other facial accessories. Even if it is intended as a joke , cake smash can leave the person feeling self- conscious specially when the mess spreads to their face, hair, and clothing leading to potential staining. What to do ?! Best to check with the person before head and ensure that any playful activities are welcome and enjoyable for everyone involved. Ask the baker if they used dowels or hard objects in the cake .If cake smash is planned, bakers need to know in advanced so they make sure you have the go-ahead . I must mention that blue, black and red colors are the worst when it comes to staining; so choose wisely ! In summary, while it might seem like a fun idea, the aftermath of cake smashing often leads to an inconvenient , messy and uncomfortable experience for the person involved. Other options are Cupcake smash or whipping cream pie smash , both have lower risk involved and smaller mess.

Halloween is just around the corner! 🎃 BRC Product Safety Adviser, Inga Becker-Hansen, has laid out the steps retailers are taking to ensure the costumes they sell are safe. 💬 “The BRC has led the way in improving regulations to ensure the safety of children’s costumes. Many retailers have signed up to the BRC’s Code of Practice for Flammability Safety of Children’s Dress-up. By complying with the Code, retailers go beyond the legal requirements in establishing the safety of their products. Nonetheless, no material is completely fireproof: children should always be supervised around fire hazards.   “Children’s costumes undergo vigorous standardised tests, designed to replicate real-life scenarios. These tests involve a controlled heat output which simulates ignition from realistic fire hazards. Mermaid Mustard is now in 20 stores!   As we continue to expand into retail I’m starting to think about a few things. One of them being…   How can we POP off the shelf!   All of our competitors (French’s, Heinz, Grey Poupon, etc) are branded yellow.    If you go to the mustard aisle at any store you’ll notice it creates a big wall of yellow.    Since we only have 1 (really good) flavor, we will only have 1 outward facing SKU. How can we stand out?   My thought is to zig when everyone else is zagging by coming in with a bright label color that will POP.    What color label do you like best?

If you’re planning on handing out candy, it may be good to know that average chocolate bar prices have increased by 9.6% due to poor cocoa harvests. 🧟♂️ Costume Trends The same report shares that imports for costumes have dropped 19.4% compared to 2023.
