AI at its best. Congrats Paul Trillo! Aside from the successful artistic result, what is fascinating is how small the art team needed to craft this short film is. AI is merely a tool that replaces previous ones, but the real paradigm shift lies in how much can be achieved with so few people. CGI films used to be the domain of a select group of large companies, but not anymore. It's a double-edged sword: the CG-heavy industry is shrinking. However, the artistic possibilities are expanding at an incredible speed and becoming much more accessible, no longer exclusive to fews. Does this mean that anyone can now be a digital artist? Well, since the advent of smartphones, which are essentially PCs, you already are. AI is further enhancing the possibilities for those without an artistic background. But imagine what people with artistic backgrounds will be able to accomplish. And now try to imagine what the very best of them will create. It's beyond imagination... Our latest workshop at the American University of Baghdad - AUIB, hosted by Moharek Studio, the animation department at Becorp inc. students were introduced to the potential of animation and branding in Iraq. The workshop was a chance to share insights into the Iraqi creative industry and its critical role in the local market. At Becorp, our mission is to expand the local market in different scales by building awareness and building strategies tailored to the unique needs of each project, whether it’s a product or a service. This approach has shaped brands like HALA.eco, our eco-friendly water bottle brand, and continues to drive innovation across our work. The workshop also spotlighted Moharek Studio’s journey to redefine animation in Iraq, not just as entertainment but as a tool for education, engagement, and strategic positioning. The message was that animation has untapped potential in Iraq’s creative landscape, and fostering this growth means encouraging competition, supporting talents, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
