The month of October is not only a great opportunity to empower every voice; it is also a reminder of all the hard work that so many have put in, dedicating countless hours to change the world around us. Inclusion has continued to be a focus for us, as it is not only a core value but also highlights the diversity of every employee. We’ve decided to celebrate with the theme “Intech Together: Building Inclusion for a Stronger Tomorrow!” We plan to build upon our company culture this month by focusing on awareness and knowledge, committing ourselves to help strengthen the construction industry in our dedication to diversity and inclusion. 🌍 Celebrating Inclusion Week! 🌍 Inclusion Week will take place this September, bringing us together to celebrate diversity! This year's theme is 'Impact Matters,' and it's a great reminder of the importance of the change we can bring to our workplaces and communities by encouraging inclusivity. Every action, no matter how small, contributes to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Myself and my colleagues recently got together to share something related to our own cultures. We shared stories about our history and heritage, different cultural celebrations and even exchanged some traditional (and tasty) recipes from around the world. It was a great experience to increase our cultural intelligence, see things from different perspectives and truly understand the 'impact' of making everyone feel included. Here are some ideas for celebrating Inclusion Week and embracing cultural differences with your colleagues: Create a cultural 'potluck' where everyone shares a traditional recipe dish from their heritage, offering a delicious way to experience different traditions. Initiate "culture chats," giving each person the opportunity to share and celebrate their unique backgrounds. Set up a shared cultural board or digital space where everyone can post photos, articles, or stories about their cultural traditions, festivals, and experiences. 🤝 Inclusion Day at the Bitterfeld site – working together for a strong and diverse company On 12 September 2024, we celebrated a special Inclusion Day at our site in Bitterfeld, focusing on the enormous value that inclusion has for our company. For us, inclusion means that everyone has the same opportunities and possibilities, regardless of personal limitations. But it is also about how diversity enriches our collaboration and makes our company stronger. Through practical workshops, interactive activities and personal stories from colleagues, we have not only learned how to break down barriers, but also how inclusion strengthens our work culture. This day reminded us once again: Inclusion is not just a social aspect, but a decisive factor for innovation and success.
