Consistently my CARSOME homies back home in Malaysia are whipping up something exciting. Previously it was the team up with Neta EV. Today I want to share another exciting news, CARSOME secured RM100 million in financing facility from AmBank Group to focus on two things; growth and innovation. We have what is right. Now how do we make it even better? Everyday asking ourselves these questions: 1. How do we improve our customer experience? We can never be perfect but we surely can get damn close to it. 2. How do we improve our products? This is never ending because the world keeps changing, fundamentally we must fulfil and over deliver excitement. 3. How do we create more values to our partners, stakeholders, and most importantly, our customers? For example, our car selections are great, how can we add more selections .. *ahem* Neta EV. No such thing as perfection in businesses, only continuous improvement. Truly a pivotal moment, this shows the trust that the ecosystem has for this brand called CARSOME. Validation on many levels; business model, customer experience, brand equity. It will be a long and arduous journey, always Day ONE ;) I congratulated the team back home many times but they truly deserve it; Eric Cheng, Nicholas W., Aaron Kee, CFA, and the entire team that made this possible!

One thing I find important and enjoyable is the regular site visits within the group. There are developments in all five of MEKO's business areas and eight markets, which is engaging to see firsthand. This time around, I visited Warsaw and Krakow in Poland, and I had the great company of MEKO's board members Dominick Zarcone, Helena Skåntorp, Eivor Andersson, Magnus Håkansson and Kenny Brack Bräck and MEKO’s Director of Communications Anders Oxelström. Our days were well spent with a warm welcome from INTER-TEAM Sp. z o.o., and our newest acquisition ELIT Polska. Poland's automotive aftermarket industry holds strong potential due to its skilled workforce, growing vehicle population, competitive labor costs, and strategic position in Europe. With increasing demand for car parts, maintenance, and services, Poland is a key center for distributing automotive parts and products within supply chain. As many countries, Poland is adapting to the electric wave. Even though the number of electric cars on the road isn’t as high as in the Nordic countries, Poland is following the EV trend. By leveraging MEKO’s Nordic expertise in EVs, we aim to lead the way in adapting to the ongoing electric transformation of the automotive industry. This aim also includes positioning ourselves as a key player in the future of sustainable transportation in Poland. Thank you, Piotr Zyśk, and Jaroslaw Chojczak with colleagues, for the site visits and the insights on the automotive aftermarket development in the Polish market. Exciting Times for New Automotive Brands in Europe! As the primary contact at Autovista Group for emerging car manufacturers breaking into the European market, I have witnessed an incredible uptick in new entrants. Every day, I engage with representatives from China, but also from Vietnam, Turkey and of course the USA, and I have to say that the exchange of insights is truly enriching. It's great fun to learn from each other! However, a common misconception I often encounter is the perception of Europe as a single market. Despite harmonisation efforts, Europe comprises 44 distinct countries, each with its own unique cultural, economic, regulatory, and consumer landscape, that all need their own market entry strategies. Take, for instance, Europe's vast geography, ranging from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean and the UK to Russia, resulting in diverse climates and driving conditions that significantly shape consumer automotive preferences. This wide variation of consumer tastes, also impacts preferences for car size, fuel efficiency, brand perception, and – of course - price sensitivity for both new and used cars. Moreover, distribution channels vary, spanning dealership networks to online platforms, while infrastructure and language diversity add further layers of complexity. And of course each European country has its own distinct traditions and preferences. Germans prioritise engineering excellence and reliability, while Italians lean towards style and performance for example. Navigating through distinct regulations on import tariffs and taxation remains a challenge across European countries. And finally, the European automotive market is fiercely competitive, with strong domestic and international brands striving for market share. To succeed in this dynamic landscape, tailored strategies adapted to local dynamics are crucial. Understanding country-specific competition and leveraging data-driven insights are paramount. At Autovista Group, we offer extensive automotive data across 20 European markets and Australia, coupled with market knowledge and experience, providing a powerful benefit for new entrants. If your new brand is ready for a jump start, please do not hesitate to reach out! 🌟 #Autovista24 #Automotive #Europe #MarketEntry #NewBrands #DataDrivenSuccess #BYD #Denza #Yangwang #Changan #Deepal #Chery #Omoda #Jaecoo #Dongfeng #Voyah #FAWGroup #Hongqi #Geely #GuanzhouAuto #Aion #Skywell #Leapmotor #LiAuto #Nio #Alps #Firefly #Saic #MG #Maxus #IM #Xpeng #Izera #Fisker #Lucid #Rivian #Vinfast #Togg

[M.People Vol.1] Meet István Körmöci, Key Account Manager for Mobis Hungary. Responsible for sales development in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgzstan, Uzbekistan and Georgia. He has been working in Mobis for more than four years now. In his current role he is the primary contact towards distributors to provide Genuine Parts and Accessories for #Kia and #Hyundai vehicles. This exciting role includes preparing business sales plans, forecasts, and marketing programs for distributors. Additionally, he also coordinates daily sales from distributors and offers support in case of any arising issue on product level in coordination with other teams. What are the main challenges of your team? The biggest challenge is the rapidly changing and unpredictable environment we work in, especially in the former soviet countries. It’s not only the fluctuation of sales and stock, but there also legislation and supply uncertainties. I work in the Sales & Marketing team in Hungary. We are 20 colleagues including 5 key account managers. Our area of responsibility includes 16 countries, where our distributors speak in total 15 languages. It can be fun to work with people from different nationalities, but we communicate and make agreements in English. Local marketing activities are managed by distributors on their local languages towards end customers and dealers. How do you envision “Future Mobility”? I had the opportunity to test the Kia EV9 which is a great car. It provides a peaceful atmosphere and strong support for autonomous driving. In my opinion, this is just the start of what is coming soon: full autonomous self-driving vehicles everywhere for both commercial and personal transport. It’s mind-blowing to imagine that trucks could drive 24/7 with our goods and get everywhere much faster. Really looking forward to Future Mobility. What are your personal goals while working at Mobis? I love to contribute to Future Mobility in Hyundai Motor Group. I also appreciate the growth opportunities that Mobis has offered me since I joined. I recently moved from the Marketing team to work as a KAM, my goal now is to become senior KAM and support the sustainable growth of Hyundai MOBIS. #MOBIS #FutureMobility #KeyAccountManager #AutomotiveIndustry #TeamSpotlight #ProfessionalExcellence

🔌 🚗 Inaugurated in #Mangualde, #Portugal, 62 years ago, the #Stellantis factory received a global investment of 119 million euros from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) to start the production of electric models, according to the Business Jornal de Negócios. The Mangualde Stellantis Production Centre thus becomes the first factory to do so in Portugal. According to Stellantis, this industrial unit will ensure the production of eight 100% electric models in the passenger and light commercial versions of the Citroën ë-Berlingo and ë-Berlingo Van, Peugeot E-Partner and E-Rifter, Fiat e-Doblò and Opel Combo-e models for the domestic and export markets. A new range of eight electric vehicles 'made in' Portugal will soon be on the roads. This is its vision for the future of the automotive industry and further proof that it is possible to achieve its most ambitious plans, in a sustainable and economically viable way, putting the best products at the service of customers. Portugal is moving towards decarbonisation, providing safe, accessible and environmentally responsible mobility to protect the next generations. The plant received an overall investment of €119 million from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) to start production of electric models. Stellantis #Mangualde has led one of the mobilizing agendas for business innovation with the "GreenAuto" project, which brings together a consortium of 37 partner entities and represents a joint investment of 119 million euros. Of the various investments made, the creation of a new battery assembly line stands out, which promoted the total modernization of an area with more than 800m2, where all the batteries for the electric vehicles produced in Mangualde are assembled. This new area, implemented in the assembly sector, allowed the creation of 63 new jobs, and all employees operating in these new workstations received - along with the rest of the technical team - specific training, thus increasing their skills. In the first half of the year, #Stellantis led the Portuguese automotive market with a market share of 27% and was also the undisputed leader in the sale of light commercial vehicles with 44% of the market. #MadeInPortugal #BuyFromPortugal #InvestInPortugal #BusinessMatchMaking #PortugalOpenForBusiness #AICEP

It is crucial to address one of the major issues that is often overlooked in the global conversation: each year, more than 3 billion tires are manufactured worldwide. These add to the 3 billion from the previous year, and so on. The situation becomes alarming when we consider that only a small percentage of these tires are recycled, with estimates ranging between 10% and 20% of global production. Optimizing tire usage through impartial platforms that intelligently utilize data is essential to immediately address this climate crisis. The announcement of one of the few companies truly excelling in this area is highly relevant and deserves recognition.
