Researchers from the Cleveland Clinic have published an independent study with evidence that supports the practical application of brain4care technology as a non-invasive method for estimating intracranial compliance at bedside. The article analyzed the agreement of non invasive techniques as quantitative indicators of intracranial compliance for clinical application. The parameters obtained with brain4care technology showed a strong correlation with invasive techniques, opening new possibilities for safer and less invasive approaches. 👉 Read the full publication: https://lnkd.in/dqzjKDiw

Stephen Covey, author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, said it well, “Trust is the glue of life. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships.” In the September/October Journal of Vitreoretinal Diseases, released this week, I explore the concept of trust in retina care. Simply put, trust is the cornerstone that supports effective treatment, enhances patient outcomes, and fosters a robust therapeutic alliance. Building trust requires a commitment to competence, transparency, and consistency. It is an ongoing process that demands attention to individual patient needs and broader systemic challenges. By prioritizing trust, retina specialists can ensure that their patients receive the highest quality care to help preserve the precious gift of sight. Read the full editorial and enjoy a comprehensive summary of this robust issue, covering some of the latest and most compelling science, cases and thought leadership in retina by clicking here: https://lnkd.in/e2x_S6Vk #Retina #peer-reviewed research #Retina science #Retina specialist

Dear Colleagues, A recent publication in Medical Science Monitor underscores the critical importance of early and aggressive fluid resuscitation for crush syndrome (CS) patients, notably in disaster scenarios like the Türkiye-Syria earthquakes. This retrospective study of 377 CS cases reveals high rates of acute kidney injury (AKI), hemodialysis needs, and mortality, especially among those trapped under debris for over 24 hours. The findings emphasize the necessity of integrating robust fluid resuscitation protocols into disaster response plans to improve patient outcomes. The complete report is now available on the Medical Science Monitor webpage. | https://lnkd.in/dX3kgJta

Imagine a reality where every breath is a struggle. For 12 million people in the UK, who will develop a lung condition in their lifetime, there’s no need to imagine. Every 5 minutes someone dies from a lung condition, yet public research funding for respiratory research has been chronically low. Saving and improving the lives of people with lung conditions starts with an accurate and timely diagnosis, something that can only be achieved with more research and more funding to develop the understanding and tools needed. Read our collaborative report with LifeArc to hear what people living with a lung condition, clinicals, academic, innovators are proposing to transform the future of respiratory diagnostics and save lives. https://lnkd.in/excBjS8w X ALUK diagnstics&utm_id=

Meeting everyone at GSAAM each year is both a pleasure and a profound source of inspiration. I'm particularly excited about the society's upcoming name shift towards "healthy longevity." After all, who is truly anti-aging? Is aging inherently negative? I don't think so. Aging signifies maturing, mastering, and evolving into wholeness, fullness, vitality, and wisdom, isn't it? #longevity #longevitymindset #artoflongevity
