Next week, HyDEX will be hosting the first in a series of four roundtables, centred on the role of hydrogen in different sectors. The first workshop will look at the potential use of hydrogen in reducing industrial emissions. A consensus has emerged that it could play an important role in decarbonising industry, however, challenges remain given the extensive transformation required to facilitate hydrogen’s widespread adoption and integration. To navigate these complexities, it is paramount to draw on the collective expertise and resources of technology developers, industrial players, investors, and policymakers. Our roundtables will delve into these issues, ranging from cost and infrastructural development to retrofitting existing systems and fostering a supportive regulatory environment, whilst seeking to provide solutions to address them. The findings from the roundtable will inform a report, which will be launched in the autumn. This will provide a strategic roadmap to guide industry action. #hydrogen #roundtable #events #netzero

ITKAM German- Italian Innovation Talk was held yesterday during #HM2024. The cross-sectorial use of #hydrogen technologies was the main meal of the event focused on the Italian and German best practices for the low-carbon hydrogen production, transport and infrastructure, efficient storage and manufacturing solutions for hydrogen and fuel cells. Considering the increasing number of large instrasteucture projects supported by the European Commission in a short time the development of hydrogen technologies is the main theme of ever-increasing number of #events and solutions-driver forums aimed to overcome the main challenges for this industry and face Europe’s rapidly emerging of the hydrogen economy.
