Living with OCD is quite the experience. When we feel as if we’ve reached the pinnacle of recovery, it’s only time before we inevitably become triggered again. This could mean an environmental factor triggers our OCD to flare, or the theme that our OCD revolves around morphs completely. Through our OCD recovery journey, it is important to remember that progress will never be linear. A great mental tool to utilize is to expect the unexpected. This can be interpreted in a multitude of ways, but most importantly to never stop working on your recovery. Even when we are feeling “good”, we should be utilizing our toolkit on a daily basis. This toolkit includes accepting our thoughts for what they are, limiting self judgment, and allowing thoughts to come and go as they please. These tools are hard to master, and take consistency, but they are worth the conscious effort. Continue to show up for yourself every day, and the results will follow! 🤍 #ocd #ocdsucks #ocdrecovery #ocdsupport #ocdawareness

One of the most interesting pieces of advice I’ve come across for those with OCD is to leverage it: Start every relevant course, leave it unfinished, and let your OCD drive you to complete it. If you can't overcome it, why not make it work for you? #HarnessYourStrengths #OCD #ProductivityTips #LearningMindset ✌️
