Embracing New Beginnings
After an incredible journey at RVG, I have made the decision to step down from my position on the executive team and board as the only female member. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve in these roles.
During my tenure, I was fortunate to achieve several milestones, including:
- People and EVP: Shaped our people strategy to enhance effectiveness and capability, boosting engagement to 86%.
- Renumeration and Benefits: Led a benchmark review, providing industry-leading benefits and winning the People Insight outstanding employer award.
- Organisation Design: Implemented a target operating model that improved operational efficiency and effective working.
- Development and Career Pathing: Built a multi-channel learning strategy and established compelling career development paths.
- Change and Transformation: Established a PMO and change governance structure, lowering consulting project management spend.
- Leading Care, Wellbeing, and Communities: Focused on enhancing care and wellbeing services, fostering strong community engagement. Introduced eGym to support the fitness and wellbeing of our residents and created an in-house wellbeing service.
- Food and Beverage: Achieved a 30% saving on the total P&L through strategic initiatives and created a compelling proposition for our community Hearth restaurants.
- Technology Leadership: Led the technology function, ensuring access for all, with improved Wi-Fi in all villages, introduced a new and enhanced managed service provider, and significantly improved security.
- Building a Culture to Be Proud Of: Brought to life new values and awards, and established a Culture Club to support diversity, inclusion, and belonging, creating a purpose-led culture that our teams are proud of, aligning with our strategic priorities.
- Head Office Transformation: Led the move and total design of RVG's head office space, creating an environment that reflects our values and supports our team's success.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my cherished colleagues for their support and collaboration. It has been a true pleasure working alongside such a talented and dedicated team. I wish RVG all the best for their future endeavours and continued success.
As I look to the future, I am excited about the prospect of a new role that is purpose-driven and more supportive of family life. This summer, I am cherishing magical moments with my son Teddy, creating unforgettable memories.
Stay tuned for what comes next! 🌟

3wThis award was truly very well deserved. For those who have not worked on this sort of transaction, it is difficult to imagine just how much there is to achieve behind closed doors in an extremely short period of time. And just how many priorities and concerns the board have to grapple with. But it was striking how much time and effort, amidst all the other pressures, was given to thinking about the impact of the Mars acquisition on colleagues and to making sure that share plan outcomes, in particular, were as good as they could possibly be. It was a superb transaction to work on and I am truly delighted for Natalie Warner, MCIPP that Hotel Chocolat’s outstanding approach in this regard has been publicly recognised 🥂
