Positive processing results from our Hillgrove Gold & Antimony Project, with study identifying the plant capacity can easily double from 220,000tpa to over 500,000tpa. Minimal upgrades are required to double capacity to produce a Gold Doré, Antimony Concentrate, and Gold Concentrate with a high-grade gold concentrate of over 150g/t Au achievable by upgrading the float concentrate with simple gravity separation using a multi gravity separator. The study has identified significant project economic benefits available by simple plant modification with a low upfront expense and effort. Managing Director, Ron Heeks commented, “As expected, the Hillgrove Gold and Antimony Mine is shaping up to be an exciting opportunity that provides Larvotto Resources with a rapid pathway to production. The engineering study completed by Mincore indicates the Hillgrove Gold and Antimony Processing Infrastructure can produce Gold Doré (gold bars), Antimony Concentrate, and Gold Concentrate with minimal upgrades to the current circuit at an expanded crusher feed rate of 500,000 tpa, double that of historical operations. This will significantly decrease unit production costs while increasing gold and antimony production. Scoping level testwork undertaken on historical concentrate also indicates the multi gravity separator is a potential game changer for the Hillgrove Gold Mine. Taking the gold concentrate grades from around 40 g/t gold to over 150 g/t provides a high quality gold concentrate with very low impurities that will maximise the return on sales. Larvotto suspected that simple plant modifications could improve concentrate quality while increasing production resulting in improved returns of product sales. Initial testwork has supported this and further detailed studies will commence immediately.” Read the full ASX announcement: https://lnkd.in/g_MacA9B #LRV #gold #antimony #processing

In the iron ore mining industry, ensuring the clarity of processed water is critical for both operational efficiency and environmental compliance. Here's a quick dive into the importance and process: Thickening and flocculation are crucial steps in the water treatment process. It involves the addition of flocculants, which are polymers that aggregate suspended particles into larger clusters, or flocs. These flocs then settle more easily, allowing for clearer and faster solid-to-liquid separation. 🔹 Why It Matters: Operational Efficiency: Clear water overflow reduces wear and tear on equipment, minimizes downtime, and ensures smoother operations. Environmental Compliance: Maintaining high water quality standards is essential to meet regulatory requirements and protect local ecosystems. 🔹 Process Insights: Chemical Addition: The right amount of flocculant is added to the raw water feed, promoting the aggregation of fine particles. 🔹 Settling Phase: Flocs settle to the bottom of the thickeners. Filter Press Operation: The settled sludge in the thickener underflow is sent to homogenizer tanks and from there fed to the filter press, which recovers extra water and ensures dry stacking disposal of the process tailings. 🔹 Overflow Water Management: The clear water is then carefully managed and reused in the process or treated further according to project specifications. Emphasis on eco-friendly solutions. Let's continue to innovate and uphold the highest standards in our operations. 🌍💧 #australiamining #mine #filterpress #australia #new zealand

Dewatering days The drive to more efficiently #dewater – whether it be #tailings, #concentrates or other products in mining, remains strong as the importance of conservation and recycling of #water in mining continues to be highlighted. While a lot of the attention in #filtration in mining goes to very large vertical #platefilter presses, horizontal or ‘tower’ type #filterpresses have an important role to play as well. Metso recently introduced the upgraded #Larox® PF 60 series pressure filter at the opening ceremony of the new machining unit at the company’s #FiltrationTechnology Center in #Lappeenranta, Finland. To get more detailed insight into the new filter, IM spoke to Geoff Foster, #Metso VP for Mining Filtration. The #GHT2500 remains Diemme Filtration - Filtration & Thickening Systems’ top selling model in mining and new installations continue of this unit around the world. To take Indonesia as an example, Diemme is starting up a new plant with two GHT2500F-30 (the 30 denotes the maximum length of the beam) filter presses to process about 500 t/h of gold tailings. Andrea Pezzi, Diemme Filtration Director Marketing and Communication told IM: “This is one of the largest filtration plants of its kind in the gold sector and it is needed because there is simply no more space to deposit wet tailings there.” Considering the latest on Diemme’s AIDA filter press digitalisation offering, most of the large filter presses being delivered for mining applications today are being sent ‘AIDA-ready’ meaning they already have the sensors and software in place to enable AIDA when the customer decides to start using it. FLSmidth has received an order to deliver five AFP2500 concentrate and tailings filters to South32's #Hermosa. A key requirement for South32 is to utilise the most efficient process technologies with the lowest environmental impact. The project’s design is expected to result in ~75% less water consumption compared to other mines in the region, and #FLSmidth’s filter tailings technology will be a key enabler of this. TAKRAF Group's #DELKOR, through its Indian operations, has been awarded high rate thickeners of various sizes ranging from 25 m to 50 m in diameter by one of the largest iron ore miners in India. The new CDE Group #ProPress filter press is available in a range of different sizes to suit all markets and applications. Available globally, the ProPress is also largely pre-assembled to expedite commissioning, allowing operators to get up and running quickly to help achieve fast return on investment. In July, Terex Washing Systems (TWS), celebrated five years of manufacturing filter presses. This milestone it said underscores the team’s commitment to environmental responsibility in quarry operations worldwide, with its filter presses processing approximately 100 million tonnes annually across the globe. #mineralprocessing #miningfiltration #futureofmining
