What if workplace wellness isn’t about fixing employees—but transforming the culture they work in? Too often, company wellness programs focus on individual behaviors without addressing the bigger picture: the workplace itself. This is exactly what inspired me to write my book, "Workplace Wellness That Works.” I wanted to challenge the traditional individually-focused, incentives-driven, overly clinical approach and offer a new way forward—one that connects well-being with culture and just plain being human. Even though I wrote this book nearly 10 years ago, the theories still hold true. True engagement doesn’t come from compliance-based programs or delivering scary statistics. Rather, it all comes down to the fundamental principle that people want to be part of a movement—one that appeals to emotions and a sense of purpose. My hope is that this book helps you rethink workplace well-being and offers you a step-by-step guide for implementing not just wellness, or even well-being, but HUMAN-BEING within your organization.
