🔐 Corporate Governance: A Strategic Factor to Enhance Competitiveness and Attract International Investment 🔐 Speaking at the 7th Annual Forum on Corporate Governance (AF7), Ms. Kasturi Nathan - Partner, Strategic, Risk & Transaction at Deloitte Southeast Asia, emphasized that Corporate Governance (CG) is a strategic advantage for attracting international investment, especially amidst geopolitical tensions, economic instability, and volatile markets. CG directly influences how investors assess risks while also mitigating subjective risk perceptions and unlocking access to preferential financing. Conversely, weak governance increases the cost of capital and erodes investor confidence. In the context of Vietnam’s deep integration into the global economy, Ms. Kasturi Nathan highlighted that improving CG quality is not merely an option but a critical necessity for businesses to build trust and achieve higher credit ratings. She urged Vietnamese businesses to focus not only on business performance but also on fostering a governance environment that is transparent, accountable, and aligned with the rising expectations of the global investment community. #AF7 #VIOD #CorporateGovernance #KasturiNathan #Sustainability #InternationalInvestment
