Anup Chandekar from Apple is looking for a Product Quality Manager There is simply too much friction reading a resume right now, so the best way for you to land interviews is by direct message on LinkedIn BUT LET ME BE CRYSTAL CLEAR. You still have to mass apply, because when companies ask you if you have applied yet in the portal and you say no then you have to start from scratch. It’s a lot of work I know and it sucks, but you got to do it. In 2025 mark my words at the rate AI is moving you will all by interviewing with holograms. I am not joking at all. There will be AI recruiting software that will sort, sift, screen (oh yes interview you), and schedule the second round interview. This is why I am telling everybody to land this job as soon as possible and to start a brand (more on that later), but for now you need to deliver a more impactful message to pitch your resume. Well… Rich what the heck am I supposed to say? That’s a fair question and I got you covered right here. I have a list of 33 openers you can use in Skool. See you in Skool! https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH Don’t be late to Skool! https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH PS Please RESHARE this post for all your colleagues still looking for a job. #productmanagement #productmanagementcareers #productmanagementjobs #speedtolead

Working in a Greenfield Tier 1 Automotive Plant: Beyond the Job Description last week i had the chance to make a deep dive with the Assembly Team at our new plant in Budapest. some see an empty office, I see huge opportunity to grow! Not often a greenfield Tier 1 automotive plant gets built and here is the most important hack for the early employees: your role becomes much more than what’s written in the job description. It's an all-hands-on-deck environment where collaboration and adaptability are the keys to success. Be useful! One day, you might be fine-tuning a production process; the next, you’re coordinating with contractors, move some wooden boxes aroung or helping to troubleshoot IT systems. You quickly learn that flexibility isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. Collaboration is Everything! Building a plant from scratch requires teamwork on a whole new level. Engineers, suppliers, operators, and logistics teams come together to solve problems, make decisions, and hit deadlines. You discover how to align diverse perspectives towards a common goal. Have you ever stepped beyond your role to help your team succeed? Share your story below! #GreenfieldProjects #Collaboration #Adaptability #AutomotiveEngineering #BeyondTheJob

An engineering manager's job can entail many things, but one aspect I've always found true: You can only succeed if your product manager succeeds. Or, part of 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗠 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗠 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹. You have to be able to have their back even if you don't completely agree yet; you need to be able to align on a vision to drive highly motivated teams and, when you've built trust, be able to provide them with direct feedback to grow together.

+1 Shobhit I strongly believe PM must have the needed tech depth. It’s absolutely essential. For example, as a PM for a car manufacturing company such as Tesla or GM, you can’t have an insightful decision making discussion with engineers about the differentiating features of engine, transmission etc., if PMs don’t have the needed technical understanding of those components. However, as a PM, you are there to uniquely add value to other business areas such as in depth understanding of what features your company/brand should sunset or double down on based on your in depth understanding of customers (like no other), growing up sales, adoption etc. In essence, you are a business owner. So, even though it’ll never hurt to be a very technical sound person, you have others (e.g. scientist with a PhD and two decades of specialized experience on the car engines ) in team to fill that gap. You should know why your company is writing that check to you to uniquely fill what void.

Product Manager: Don't try to match your Engineering team's level of technical skills. It's counterproductive. Do this instead: 1. Focus on understanding your customers. Get to know their pain points, their goals, their lives 2. Build skills in strategy development. Know what it means to have a compelling vision and a well-thought-out strategy. 3. Build enough technical expertise so you can have an intelligent conversation with your engineer 4. Facilitate good decisions. Cultivate a strong collaborative relationship where you respect and leverage each other's strengths. 5. Don't be afraid to ask for clarification. Say "Just for the non-technical people in the room, can you translate this into plain English for me?" Remember, your role isn't to code, it's to deliver a product that meets the market demand and brings value to your customers and your company. So, allow your Engineering team to shine in their technical expertise while you drive the product vision with clarity. In short, manage the product, not the technology.

Don't hire Engineering Managers...Seriously... I once challenged a company on the need to hire an Engineering Manager They had no problem with delivery, culture, performance and most importantly, didn't plan to grow their teams in next 1 year. Ultimately, the role was put on hold. Don't hire Engineering Managers unless: Your goal is to... - help team find meaning in their work - create a culture of ownership and accountability - build a sustainable culture of continuous delivery - help engineers grow skills and their career And Senior Leadership truly believes in - Growth of engineers - Autonomy at all levels - Distributed Decision Making - Information Democracy Did I miss anything?
