Hitachi Rail’s Post

🚆✨ Celebrating 25 years of dedication to the London Underground ✨🚆 For 25 years, the Connect Programme has been the backbone of the London Underground, transforming how one of the world’s busiest transport systems operates. This mission-critical telecoms system ensures constant communication between drivers, station staff, and line controllers, enabling seamless and safe journeys for millions of passengers every day. Connect has supported London through some of its most pivotal moments. During the 2012 Olympics, the network rose to the challenge of record-breaking demand, ensuring the city remained connected amidst unprecedented global attention. More recently, our team worked tirelessly to reconfigure the network in just weeks to support Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral and King Charles III’s coronation, ensuring emergency services and public transport operated smoothly during these historic occasions. Today, the Connect Programme continues to thrive, powered by a team of 220 dedicated professionals - engineers, operators, and support staff - working around the clock to maintain and enhance this critical system. Their expertise and commitment are what make milestones like this possible. As we celebrate 25 years of progress, we remain focused on a future of innovation, collaboration, and success!
