Did you know Tenant Resource Center has a program expense ratio of 96.5%? That’s more than just a number—it’s a reflection of our commitment to putting your donations directly to work. Here’s what it means: 96.5% of every dollar we spend goes to program services. So, if you donate $10 to TRC, $9.65 goes straight to supporting individuals and families in our community. Your contributions fuel outreach, education, financial assistance, and eviction prevention services—all designed to help protect our neighbors’ right to safe, quality housing. For perspective: A good program expense ratio is 65% or higher. An excellent ratio is 85% or higher. At TRC, we don’t just talk about our belief that housing is a human right; we live it. The way we use donations shows how deeply we value this mission. Thank you for being part of it. ❤️ #NonprofitTransparency #HousingIsAHumanRight #GivingTuesday #HousingJusticeForAll

We’re humbled to receive a historic $65 million grant from Mackenzie Scott, a second major contribution following Scott’s first donation in 2020. The initial donation helped us execute our 2020-2025 strategic plan, and funded programs supporting historically marginalized housing providers, giving renters monthly cash back payments, and deepening our work with Native and tribal communities. This second grant will build on that initial investment and bolster our program capacity to address the need for housing supply and climate-resilient communities. https://bit.ly/4ggeBSH

Addressing America's affordable housing crisis is a pressing challenge that affects millions of individuals and families across the nation. The escalating costs of housing, combined with stagnant wages and rising living expenses, have pushed many low- and moderate-income households into precarious financial situations. Families struggling to afford housing often face difficult choices, sacrificing essential aspects of life needed to survive, which can lead to long-term negative impacts on their well-being and that of their children. By prioritizing affordable housing, we can create a foundation for stability, allowing families to focus on opportunities for growth and development. To effectively tackle this crisis, a collaborative approach is necessary, involving government, non-profits, and private sectors. Thankfully our Hudson County Community has those within it advocating for affordable housing. We are honoring multiple advocates at our upcoming fundraiser cocktail party, “An Evening of Promise Gala: Bridging A Better Future Together!” Help us combat the ongoing shortage of affordable housing by attending our upcoming event and supporting its honorees! You can purchase your tickets via the following link: https://lnkd.in/ebufN3SY Remember, together WE can, so what are you waiting for?
