🎶 "Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is..." 🎶 We are the 318 Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) champion Alana Beard to serve black and historically marginalized communities. Named after the area code of her hometown, Shreveport, Louisiana, the 318 Foundation is committed to empowering young women with access, opportunity, and support to become future leaders in their communities and beyond. Two cornerstone programs drive our work: 💡 318 VISION: Our main in-school program connects high school girls with mentors and industry leaders, fostering personal growth, leadership, and a strong sense of identity. As part of this initiative, we offer dynamic out-of-school experiences such as leadership conferences, career enrichment, and college tours, preparing participants for academic and professional success. 🏀 318 SPORTS: Elite training for athletes that combines athletic development with personal empowerment, focusing on wellness, networking, and leadership beyond the court. At 318 Foundation, we believe in the strength of community and the power of empowering every girl to dream without limits. We're building a community of leaders ready to change the world by nurturing each girl's extraordinary strengths. 🔗 Join us in supporting this mission—help us bridge the opportunity gap and develop the leaders of tomorrow. Another grantee we would like to spotlight for celebrating diversity this month is The Anti Defamation Leagues Youth Leadership Conference. Anti-Defamation League Youth Leadership Conference: Exploring Diversity. Challenging Hate. As the incidents of bullying, bigotry, and name-calling in schools have drastically increased in recent years, ADL recognizes that getting students involved in being part of the solution can create positive change in school environments. This annual conference brings together more than 500 students from 65 schools throughout Eastern PA, NJ and Delaware to participate in hands on workshops and engage in dialogue about difference, the challenges and opportunities diversity brings, and how they can make their schools and communities more inclusive places for all. They return to their schools with practical skills to become leaders and agents of change. The ADL is the leading provider of anti-bias education and diversity training programs that help create and sustain inclusive school, community and work environments. The Foundation is committed to investing in young people today to create more harmonious schools and communities tomorrow. #DiversityMatters #InclusionForAll #CelebrateDiversity #UnityInDiversity #EmbraceDifferences #EqualityNow #DiverseWorld

Gatekeeping is defined as the activity of controlling, and usually limiting, general access to something. Annot Inc. is doing the opposite and is a gate-breaker focused on many things including helping students navigate complicated admissions processes, hidden curriculums and more. Give them a follow as they aim to level the playing field. Shoutout to Chiedza Juru, Marshall Bizure, MBA, MPA, Ms Accounting, CIMA and Kenneth Asher for leading these efforts! 🙌🏾 Having been helped by many to get to where I am, it is my privilege to help others. Also in my description is a shoutout to my fellow footie fans that have had to transition from midfield to defense with age😅 #education #admissions #gatekeeping #gatebreaking
