Last week, we hosted a free Christmas Grotto for the amazing charity Together for Short Lives at Gravity Active Milton Keynes. It was such a special experience, and we could see how much it meant to the families who joined us. While we respected the families’ privacy and didn’t take photos with them, we captured the festive magic of the grotto and our cheeky elves in full swing. 🎅 Huge thanks to Cameron Venner for stepping into the role of Santa – you truly brought the joy of Christmas to life! We’re so proud to share that we also received a beautiful letter of thanks from Keech Hospice Care, which touched all of our hearts. It’s an honour to contribute to such meaningful work, especially during the holidays. If you haven’t yet supported Together for Short Lives, there’s still time to make a difference! 🎁 Visit any Gravity site this December and look for our Christmas Baubles on the trees – each one represents a donation to this life-changing charity. Let’s continue spreading the holiday spirit! #CommunityGiving #TogetherForShortLives #KeechHospiceCare #GravityActive #ChristmasGrotto #HolidayMagic #MiltonKeynes

🧡Please don’t underestimate the small actions that you can take to support your local hospice. 🧡Whether they are providing care at home or providing care in a hospice, the equipment, nursing staff and overheads are costs that continue to rise as more people within our communities need hospice care. 🧡 You can support now by.. 🔸Donating good quality items to their shops. 🔸Volunteering some of your time (not only in charity shops but in their offices, gardens, with photography, by providing companionship, as bereavement support, as a driver … there are so many opportunities!) 🔸Donate whatever money you can spare ~ every little really does help! 🔸Take part in one of the hospice’s fundraising events. (To fundraise or provide volunteer support) 🔸Create your own fundraising event. 🔸Spread the word!! #hospice #hospiceathome #hospiceuk #fundraising #volunteer

🎄 Spreading Holiday Cheer Through Giving 🎄 Each year, instead of sending Christmas cards to our members and partners, we choose to give back to the community. This year, we’re proud to support The Salvation Army by donating 5 Essential Christmas Hampers to help families in need enjoy a brighter holiday season. The holidays are a time for kindness, generosity, and togetherness. By contributing to initiatives like The Salvation Army’s Christmas Wishes Appeal, we can all play a part in creating meaningful moments for those who need it most. If you’re looking for a way to make a difference this season, consider donating. Whether it’s a hamper, a gift, or a monetary contribution, every bit helps bring joy to those facing tough times. 👉🏻 Learn more or donate here: https://hubs.ly/Q02-5Nnv0 Let’s make this season about giving hope and sharing love. The other day, a friend asked me if I had any items to donate for her charity drive? Absolutely!!💯 I agreed to put some things together. One thing led to another, and I started asking around my neighborhood if anyone else wanted to pitch in - after all, we are stronger in numbers. 💪 🫶 My friend offered to pick up the items from my home, which made the process so much easier – so I offered the same service to others who were willing to donate. As I was looking through some posts on my neighborhood Facebook group, I realized a lot of people had questions about the donation process. The main questions were: where to donate and what items would be in demand? ❓ That got me thinking: when the holiday season is in full swing, we all become a little more thankful for the blessings we have and more aware of those who are not as lucky. 🙏 I realized that people want to help and contribute, but the biggest obstacle is the unknown. 🫤 In fact, the number ONE reason why people might not donate is lack of awareness. Many aren’t sure where to donate, what to donate, or how to help effectively. To make the donation process simple and accessible, because every small act of kindness counts, I decided to make the process easier by creating a simple guide. Let's make a difference this season and all year round! 👏 - KD 💗 #HolidayGiving #CommunitySupport #MakeADifference #SeasonOfGiving #Volunteer #CharityDrive #GivingBack

National Day of Giving 2024 - Let’s Make a Difference This Christmas!! With Christmas fast approaching, it’s a time of joy and giving—but for many families, it’s a time of worry and hardship. Local charities are working tirelessly to support families who are unable to give their children Christmas presents, while also struggling to heat their homes and put food on the table. It’s easy to judge and say, “They should just get a job,” but the truth is, the highest percentage of families struggling this Christmas are working parents—doing all they can, often working multiple jobs, just to keep a roof over their heads. This National Day of Giving, let’s show compassion and lend a helping hand. Think back to your childhood—how would you have felt waking up on Christmas morning to find that Father Christmas hadn’t been? No child should have to feel that heartbreak. If you’re able, why not make a donation to a local charity supporting families in need? Your kindness could bring warmth, food, and joy to a family this Christmas. Let’s be the reason someone believes in the magic of the season. ❤️ #NationalDayOfGiving #SupportLocalCharities #GiveBack #GivingTuesday

Be Kind Be Grateful #34 – Create an alumni group where colleagues share stories of kindness and its impact, inspiring others to pay it froward and continue the cycle of good will. #33 – With Christmas coming, if you have toys that your children do not play with anymore, consider giving them to charities or goodwill stores so less fortunate children can have a toy under the tree this year. #32 – If you have unredeemed loyalty points that will not be used, if available, consider donating them to charity rather than having them expire. #31 – Hosting a holiday party, rather than say to your quests, please bring nothing. Help your local food bank and ask them to bring a non-perishable food item. Set out a box at your front door and see what your family and friends give back to the community. I think you will be surprised. #30 – Put together a ‘Health and Happiness Box’ for a teacher, pastor, or a person in need. This box might have some home baked cookies, healthy snacks, candle, bath salts and a note of thanks. Please share and add other comments or suggestions to the list.
