Be Kind Be Grateful #34 – Create an alumni group where colleagues share stories of kindness and its impact, inspiring others to pay it froward and continue the cycle of good will. #33 – With Christmas coming, if you have toys that your children do not play with anymore, consider giving them to charities or goodwill stores so less fortunate children can have a toy under the tree this year. #32 – If you have unredeemed loyalty points that will not be used, if available, consider donating them to charity rather than having them expire. #31 – Hosting a holiday party, rather than say to your quests, please bring nothing. Help your local food bank and ask them to bring a non-perishable food item. Set out a box at your front door and see what your family and friends give back to the community. I think you will be surprised. #30 – Put together a ‘Health and Happiness Box’ for a teacher, pastor, or a person in need. This box might have some home baked cookies, healthy snacks, candle, bath salts and a note of thanks. Please share and add other comments or suggestions to the list.

Turn your swearing into saving lives! F*CKNG LISTEN UP. ICYMI, I'm trying to get some momentum behind this idea called the NATIONAL SWEAR JAR. Yes, that's right, I'm asking the entire f*cking nation to get behind a collective swear jar during the Euros. The idea is that we will tally our loved ones' potty mouths, then head over to www.theswearjar.co.uk to download a YOU'VE BEEN SERVED BY THE SWEAR JAR invoice, and hit them with the debts they owe, which they will pay into our swear jar (linked below). Now, this swear jar is, OF COURSE, for Campaign Against Living Miserably. All your hard work tallying, collating, and eventually serving your loved ones' love for shouting swear words at the TV will go towards a charity that saves lives. SHARE. LIKE. GET SOME F*CKING MOMENTUM BEHIND IT. www.theswearjar.co.uk #Euros2024 #Charity #MentalHealth #Fundraising #GivingBack #SocialImpact #Support #Awareness #Community #ActNow

Charity: What Does It Mean to You? I’ll be honest—years ago, I stopped the monthly direct debits to big charities. It wasn’t because I didn’t care but because I wanted to make a more personal, direct impact. So, I shifted my focus to smaller charities and causes closer to home. Here’s what that looks like for me: Volunteering my skills: Just an hour a week helping with marketing for a small charity. Christmas gifts for homeless young people: £20 or £30 a year to bring a little joy to someone who truly needs it. Helping out with research: A couple of hours a year to give back in a way that doesn’t cost a thing but means the world to them. This year, I’ve chosen to support Streetlife in Blackpool, a youth work charity providing emergency shelter and vital support to vulnerable and homeless young people aged 16-25. For just a few £, we can help this incredible organization make a difference to young people right here in our community. I used to ask the children to donate £10 each of their Christmas money, go shopping for toiletries, socks, and sanitary pads, and take them to deliver to those in need. This is more about highlighting their privilege and opening their eyes to those without quite as much, as you never know when you could end up there. Unfortunately for us, we were homeless last year due to domestic abuse, so they now know all too well some of the challenges that come with it, although they were never sleeping rough as a lot of young people do. But this post isn’t about me; I don't need a pat on the back or a well done; it’s about you! What do you do? Because the truth is, you can make a huge difference with just a little time or money. A couple of hours a year, or a few quid, could literally change someone’s world. So, what cause matters to you? How could you make an impact? If you are interested in supporting Streetlife, their Christmas List is here. From what I hear, Pot Noodles are in high demand :) #CharityMatters #StreetlifeBlackpool #MakeAnImpact #SmallActsBigChange #GivingBack #SupportYouth

Small charities are struggling more than ever. Holding Space is no exception. Our work is crucial to the parents and carers of East Sussex, but if things continue as they are we may not be here in 2025 to meet the needs of our local community. And to meet the needs of our local community, we need our community to help us. Funding opportunities are shrinking, while the number of small charities needing support is increasing. We rely on donations, we rely on volunteers. We’re vulnerable. There are so many fantastic ways that small charities can be supported by their community. But it has to come from people. People who want to make a difference, a tangible difference. People who are willing to… 💜Volunteer their time 💜Encourage their employer to get involved 💜Set up a monthly donation 💜Start a fundraiser 💜Share and like our social media posts The reality is this. If you’ve ever felt alone, unsupported, lost, or not listened to as a parent, Holding Space has the Parent Peer Support volunteers to make sure you’re not alone. To give you the tools to get through the tough times. Every parent and carer deserves that. Help us to continue delivering this work in our local community. #smallcharities #charityfunding #fundraising

🌍 On this International Day of Charity, let's remind ourselves that it's not about the amount we give, but the love and intention behind it. One way to keep the children busy over the holidays and reclaim your home from the clutter is to get them involved in your mission to create more space. Here are a few tips to help you get started. 👇 1) 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 - By asking them to make the choices themselves, they will feel happier and more in control of the decluttering process. 😁 2) 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 - This will help them feel more positive about saying goodbye to things they care about and teach them a valuable lesson about those who are less fortunate than them. 😍 3) 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 - One way to get the kids on board is to set small tasks they can complete for a treat or reward. Setting challenges like this throughout the summer holidays spreads the workload and will help you make some real progress at home. 🤩 Do you have a pile of pre-loved clothes, toys, and bric-a-brac ready to donate? Head to https://lnkd.in/gt9np8AF now and select a charity you and your kids would like to support. 🙏 #Declutter #Donate #Fundraise #Recycle

🌍 Celebrating Charity Day - September 5, 2024 🌍 Today, we mark a day dedicated to the power of giving—Charity Day. This day serves as a beautiful reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can create ripples of change in the world around us. Whether it’s donating to a cause close to your heart, volunteering your time, or simply offering support to someone in need, every action counts. On this day, let’s reflect on the impact we can make together. Charity is not just about giving money; it’s about extending our hands, our hearts, and our time to uplift those around us. It’s about nurturing a culture of empathy and compassion in our communities and workplaces. Let’s use this day to renew our commitment to making a difference. A world where everyone contributes, no matter how big or small, is a world full of hope and possibilities. Here’s to making the world a better place, one act of charity at a time. 💙 #CharityDay #GivingBack #MakeADifference #CommunitySupport #EmpathyInAction #CorporateResponsibility #KindnessMatters #ServeAll #LoveAll #HumanityFirst

How we donate and give charity is just as important as not giving at all. Many times our good intentions don’t yield the results we want. We donate deorderant and cans of beans but do we ever look deeper at the impact. Yes it makes us feel good but I really challenge us to have a different outlook. When we buy deorderant from Walmart we pay a huge markup and are supporting an organization that suppresses opportunity for people they don’t seem worthy through their system. So you spend the $40 or so and feel good but in reality the impact could be more. The purchasing power of a food pantry is much greater than ours. For every can you buy they could buy at least two at the same cost of that one. That is why I don’t go a buy a bunch of food to donate. I also don’t donate shirts like Bombas socks. I donate a percent of my profit to reach my goal of $20,000 cash money in 90 days for the community kitchens our communities to buy the vital needs at a more economical sustainable scale. Let’s think outside of the box. Instead of supporting the big corporations support small ones like mine. Where you will be able to see the direct impact of the work I do in real time as we reach scale Together we can do this One person at a time One shirt at a time. #leadershipdevelopment #communitydevelopment #communityleadership #stophunger #feedingamerica
