Computer vision, specifically feedback loops, was the meat of the conversation on a recent Defense Mavericks podcast episode featuring Schuyler Moore, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for U.S. Central Command. During the conversation, Ms. Moore emphasized the importance of feedback structures and operational workflows for computer vision models. She highlighted that more than simply creating models is needed; companies must also focus on sustaining and maintaining these models at a certain performance level to solve customer problems effectively. However, this requires an established workflow and feedback loop. If you're a tech company, you know that model adjustments are inevitable, and direct user feedback plays a pivotal role in this process. Understanding the feedback loop is key to ensuring the continuous enhancement and optimization of models. Tip: When interacting with end users, inquire about their existing workflow and feedback processes. This knowledge not only prepares you for engagement with DoD, but also lays the groundwork for seamless integrations and implementations. Most importantly, it positions your company as an intellectual partner invested in the mission. Listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/e3kF7Au5

What if the next breakthrough in business isn't about technology at all? We accept problems as "that's just how it works." We learn to live with broken systems. But what if we stop accepting the status quo? What if instead of complex solutions, we focus on solving the basic human needs first? Sometimes the biggest impact comes from solving the smallest, most overlooked problems. The ones we've all gotten used to living with. Join me on the React with Bloch podcast as we explore how MENA's innovators are turning these everyday frustrations into tomorrow's solutions.
