Ask 5 people the best location to invest in property - and you’ll get 5 different answers! My best advice is this: STAY LOCAL (to start with at least) You’ll have a better knowledge of the local area, can do more thorough due diligence, and can manage your project much more effectively. You’re much more likely to get ripped off if you’re hiring unknown tradesman in an area that you aren’t familiar with. I followed my own advice when I started, and only now am I starting to branch out further afield into areas where I already have knowledge and a trusted local team. If you don’t have the local knowledge or team, then focus on this first … OR let us do it for you. Talk to us about investment opportunities currently available. Personally, I value our company culture and the people I work with. Just last weekend, I was in London with friends, and this very topic came up. Ellie, a bar manager, values the flexibility and freedom her job offers. Aaron, who owns a gym, prioritises hiring people with positive, upbeat personalities. Sophie, an Environmental Specialist working in Australian mining, appreciates training, career progression, and her salary.
