An experience like no other 🥹✨
A huge thank you to The Women's Association, McCann London, and Digitas UK for selecting me to be a part of this life-changing trip. As a young, neurodiverse Black founder from Newham, this opportunity meant the world to me 🧡
Attending the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, with most of my expenses covered, gave me access to panels, places, and people that I wouldn’t have been able to reach otherwise. It was a chance to learn, connect, and grow in ways that continue to shape my journey as a founder 🌱💡
I left Cannes with a renewed sense of purpose, a revitalised spirit, and an even deeper drive to help brands build authentic relationships with their consumers, particularly those from diverse backgrounds 🌍
It’s now a must-attend for me moving forward, and I’d love the chance to be there again next year—this time as a speaker (God willing) 🎤
If you’re planning any talks on neurodiversity or strategies for engaging with Gen Z or the "culture" I’d love to be considered. My experience as a member of the Gen Z audience occupying the spaces brands seek to enter and working with talent gives me a fresh perspective on how brands can authentically connect with this demographic.
Let’s create spaces where real experiences and needs are heard, shaping a genuinely inclusive future 💫

🔥 That's a wrap! 🔥
Year 2 of The Cannes Challenge has come to an end, and we couldn't be prouder of everything we've accomplished together with Deborah B. Williams, her team at The Women's Association and Digitas UK during this period. The programme has provided a much needed platform for early female talent in the creative industry, giving them access to leaders, mentors, and the inspiration they need to thrive in their career.
Deborah has brilliantly led the way, helping the women get support via mentorship in partnership with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity “See it Be It” programme, to getting access to creative leaders across our industry. Together we've helped open doors for women at the early stages of their career in the creative industry which we believe will help them make their dreams a reality.
Check out the video below to see a glimpse of what we were able to achieve together!
Thank you to everyone involved, and a special shout out to the six women who won the competition and took part in this year's Cannes Challenge: Martina Gordeen, Hannah Ayane, Jamila Pero and Shaquila Evelyn Johnson from The Women’s Association’s network, Joely Buxton - Smith Buxton-Smith from McCann London, and Erin Johnson from Digitas UK.

💪 💥 We are making CHANGE. It's incredible to be among this cohort of paradigm-shifting individuals shortlisted for the Media For All [MEFA] Diversity and Inclusion Awards in partnership with Campaign UK.
Being nominated for an award this prestigious is always both thrilling and humbling. And yes, I would really love to win, of course I would!
But the real win here is to see how much unbelievable trailblazing talent exists in our media and advertising community, and how when the doors are opened (broken down?!) how it contributes to innovation and fuels the lifeblood of our industry. Change keeps us relevant, alive, pioneering and winning.
Sometimes it can be hard to visualise what change looks like: well here's a visual of high impact to bring it to life! And each individual's bio is worth a read, giving inspiration into the many different ways, wherever we come from and whoever we are, we can all MAKE CHANGE.
Honestly, if I win amongst this crowd, I'll be gobsmacked because they are all WINNERS. I'm not feeling like an imposter here (honest! well, maybe a bit...) but I'm standing tall in the belief that the work I'm doing is making an impact. And, as I always say, the award is not the goal, it is the platform to do more.
Huge congrats to:
💥 Sharon Lloyd Barnes, Commercial Director, Advertising Association
💥 Leyya Sattar, Founder, Other Box
💥 Elizabeth Anyaegbuna, Co-founder and CEO, 16x9media
💥 Dinah Williams, CEO, The Avenir Network
💥 Diksha Sonal, Global Insights Lead, DoubleVerify
💥 Chloe Davies, Founder and CEO, It Takes A Village Collective
💥 Ahmed Omer, Founder, Cultured Connections Community
With a special shout out to the original CHANGEMAKERS who are leading this industry initiative Naren Patel and Nikki Sehgal and the whole team Media For All [MEFA]
I can't wait to see you all at the awards event on Tuesday 19th November.

As companies celebrate Women's History Month, here are some amazing executives (who happen to be Women) for you to know.
Meet Amanda Richman
Head of Global Media Sales @ Microsoft Advertising
Amanda was just named Head of Global Media Sales @ Microsoft Advertising. She was previously Mindshare's CEO, North America. She started this position during a time where organizations relied on strong leadership more than ever to pivot, innovate and overcome the market challenges. And that’s just what Richman did. She came in with fresh thinking and a fresh take to bring Mindshare’s “Good Growth” proposition to life. And she’s building upon Mindshare’s philosophy of “Intentional Media,” or looking at media investment beyond cost savings and value creation. To Richman, ”media can be both good for society and good for the bottom line.”
Richman has brought her take on leadership to Mindshare, which focuses on optimism, empathy and bravery. “I do believe leaders lead with hope, not fear, and paint that picture of positivity and the impact that we can have by making sure that we’re living that and expressing that every day,” Richman said.
Prior to taking on this role, Richman joined GroupM agency MEC from Starcom as U.S. CEO in 2017, ahead of its merger with Maxus, which resulted in the creation of Wavemaker. Last year, she led Wavemaker through the pandemic to impressive growth in the U.S. and helped the company gain recognition as Adweek’s U.S. Media Agency of the Year.
Richman spoke with New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) to talk about her leadership style—especially over the past year—and why winning a NYWICI Matrix Award this year is meaningful to her.

10. 👀 You don’t have to look far to find amazing people in this industry who are dedicated to doing the work to drive positive change
We are so proud that Christina was one of 60 people who made the 2024 IPA iList shortlist for her role as a champion of diversity, equality and inclusion in advertising.
Last week we joined Effies UK to explore how inclusion drives creativity and brand effectiveness. The political headwinds against inclusive marketing have become stronger across 2024. And, yet recent research-based evidence across the sector shows inclusive marketing is an undeniable driver for growth as well as social impact. Inclusion continues to be fundamental to understanding our audiences, innovating our products and services, inspiring creativity and driving business growth.
We also shared a compelling piece of qualitative research looking at recent Effie UK award winners and why inclusion and representation delivers more impactful marketing. We broken down what representation looks like in marketing with proven effectiveness, how positive portrayal creates more arresting story-telling and social inclusion and insights from some of this year’s Effie finalists.
Thanks to our wonderful panel for the insightful discussion and for everyone who joined us for such a great event.
